Yeah, darn heat wave!

The cure...

- 20% red wine
- 80% 7up
- a dash o lemmon
- 1/2 the glass of ice!

Your welcome Jack54! Last Hundred Yards looks cool too!

Not a criticism of board games(and those who love them). I grew up playing them.

When I watched the you tube on the Hundred Yards game. The fella explaining the workings of the game, noted he forgot to role the dice two turns to calculate how much time to allow for German side. As I watched the video the number of times he rolled the dice! something I find unappealing now.

I'm commenting on your question as to why no one has talked Consimworld. Could it be? so many here have gone on to digital gaming.

That you tube video confirmed why I moved on. I know many still play but I'm just saying many here have moved on for the ease of play

Sure, I just donīt relate "ease of play" on a PC, with wargames in general. If one knows whats out there, and whats new and upcoming, then maybe one can have a better understanding at what to look for in a wargame, be it PC or not. Just my opinion though.

After all, wargaming has to do with being social, meeting people, and sharing your experiences etc. Not that everybody feels that way, which is fine with me, but this is a wargaming thread (forum), with specific game sub-forums. Where else do you want to talk about "other" wargames that are not specific to Matrix? Or read about any news related to wargames? Aside from enriching the hobby for others, and giving more exposure for the forum, thus Matrix gaming, itīs a healthy and social way for others to be informed and give comments. It has nothing to do with going digital...

Yes, itīs not the best video review of the game, but here again, it shows that a mistake can cost you a unit and or lose the game. Ever wished you didnīt move that pawn in a chess game? You made a mistake doing so, should have though it out better but now itīs done. I doubt the AI has such mistakes, and even if they did, itīs not going to tell you out loud.

Thanks for your comments.

I really dislike social media at times because it fails to relay what I was saying (face to face conveys the nuances that posting fails to do). That said be assured mine was not meant as a comment to say the subject matter was not appropriate for here. Or welcomed by many. Hope you recognize that. Just was replying to your sincere thought about no one having commented on Consimworld

I agree Zap, reading is not always well understood, and yes I recongnized that form the start. The whole point is to comment, share and communicate, even if that sometimes can be misleading, or misunderstood. Life is always a risk for those who are willing

Ohhh Solo WW1 air combat, yes please.

Anyone slightly interested in WW1 esp the air side must go out and buy Winged Victory asap. You are best buying it through WBS Games homepage as it's very difficult to buy or find elsewhere. Game play is superb, components top quality and a good amount of it so fantastic value. If GMT had released it it would have been mentioned everywhere and be taking its place as a classic.
