I thought Netplay was sorted, started playing my first game after about 3-4 years and couldnt even finish one turn of Barbarossa with 4-5 crashes on Netplay.

PBEM is the best. In later turns it can take a few hours just to do your turn.

Titan,
What sort of "crash" are you having? Can you be specific?

Once when opponent overan ships. We are doing Barbarossa im Russian. once during his turn not sure what phase and twice after i moved and commited land attacks as Russian and when it went to "defending HQ Support" (twice) i waited endlessly and opponent said game crashed. Its a shame i was starting to enjoy it but just cant play with any flow

Not an official option, but you trade saved games by email. Various ways to handle interaction - email; some form of instant messaging; standing orders; or agree on a time for meeting up and use screen and mouse sharing software.

Unfortunately this method does not combine with the NetPlay mode.

Part of the attraction of the game for me was netplay for ease of use and keeping it simple. Jumping through hoops with these third party options dont quite cut it when the software is there for inhouse multiplayer its suppose to be part of the game and what we paid for. This is a game i really wanted to play..one i purchased..what 6 years ago and still cant. Disapointing to be honest.

The question that was answered was: "Where is PBEM how do you play that way?"
