The idea is to make a longer Operation Barbarossa campaign adding four Fall Blau scenarios to it. When you go to Chimki it is not the end, you go South in 1942.

Since this is a fictional campaign with the same force fighting in different sectors, there will be no historical OOBs, the unit numbers will be 1, 2, 3 etc. If you recruit reinforcements - and you will - you can renumber them according to this system or keep the random numbers generated by the game.

There are no Elite units in the original Op Barbarossa so you will have a fictional motorized regiment ''Kreuzritter'' (The Crusader Knight). It will appear in your HQ in the beginning of the campaign. Use it as you see fit.

The idea is to have a longer campaign with a chance to get as many promotions as you can. However, there is no chance to take Moscow, just to reach Chimki. Meant as an appetizer before the bigger campaigns like AA or 1941.

Hi AngrySwan,

sounds like an interesting concept for a step between the small and the very big campaigns. Looking forward to see it.

Hi Ronald,

- Campaign tree - done
- Added Kreuzritter motorized regiment to the first scenario
- Added Case Blue scenarios (the first one will need some revision, since I take over all forces from 1941, the existing German units will have to go but Hungarians will be left)

After that there is time for tests, this is a simple campaign and one test will be enough.
I hope some folks will get more crosses by the time they reach Caucasus, maybe even all 5 of them.
There will be a short AAR covering only one unit from the force (the one that earns most crosses).

Hi AngrySwan,

sounds nice.

There is one thing though. As i know you like historical accuracy i would like to give you some thoughts about the "Kreuzritter" name. This is just my opinion based on what i know about the Nazi leaders/fanatics so take it with a grain of salt. In my view they would never have named a unit "Kreuzritter". While on the one hand this would fit the old crusade to the east in the Middle Ages, on the other hand they disliked and often hated Christianity esp. in the SS. There are many recorded instances when they attacked churches etc. This was in constrast to the common soldier who often was raised in that believe and found comfort in it (hence there were Masses in the field). Those who embraced National Socialism would go for either Germanic terms (e.g. Wiking) or references to the party history like „Feldherrenhalle“ or „Schlageter“.

But of course its „your campaign – your choice“ and you might think different on this point.

Still i am eager to play the whole thing.

Hi Ronald,

It could as well be Wiking - after all, the campaign starts with historical divisions, although the scenarios are fictional.

The campaign has been tested until Uman. Since the objectives are not 100% historical I have to change the plans.

Before Leningrad, mostly infantry force with Wiking as the motorized division of the panzer corps (offensive staff and extra MGs) and I just bought a cavalry division.

The favorite so far is 4th panzer division (its moto is ''Attack everything you see'') with Pz IVE and a flamethrower tank platoon, a repair platoon, a supply company and a panzergrenadier battalion. 3rd panzer division with Pz IIIJ, together with the StuG unit (now a brigade) is the antitank force of the panzer corps. 8th panzer division still uses Pz IIF and is mainly a supplement for recon units.
Air force with 3 fighter regiments, a brigade of Stukas and another of Ju 88.

I still need to test what can be done in Voronezh mission and how to use the deployed units.

Some small fixes in the campaign:

- Victory conditions in the German version of the Bialystok scenario - the briefing only gives the total number of days, not the remaining number. (''You have… days to win'') instead of ''You have... days remaining of...''
- Numbers of divisions in Kiev scenario. campaign starts with 3. and 4. panzer divisions in the core. The same divisions also are given as auxiliary force in Kiev scenario. Historically 3. and 4. panzer divisions actually were in the area of Konotop but here we have two divisions with the same numbers. In my version I renumbered the auxiliary panzer divisions to 17 and 18.

Test of Fall Blau scenarios done.
Added the crossed swords for all scenarios on the campaign map so now it shows the locations of all battle in 1941 and 1942.

The big cats (meow) are ready for combat but they arrive late and in small numbers, so no chance to deploy them in 1942.

If anyone is interested in playing this campaign you can find it here.

Hi terminator,

That was a problem with file names.
The campaign must have the same name as the picture or the campaign does not recognize the picture even if it is there. Try this one.

If you delete the extra space in the image name, it works for the first release :
