And he's most certainly not a malodorous pervert.

But can we really rule out all other kinds of pervert?

And now to something completely different. Appeal to forum advice is always a sound advice. The game is huge, the accumulated knowledge and experience is similar

Indeed! Ask Colonel Bat Guano.

Reviving this thread because it's the closest I found - what exactly does "computer control" mean for a TF?

The manual describes computer control like it was a CS convoy, but transport convoys can be either "computer control" or "CS for xxx", right? What's the difference?

Read my post (and the provided hyper link too) in this thread.

Any TF set to "Computer Controll" leaves all the decisions (re destination, action, standing order etc) entirely up to the tactical AI. A CS set up has the human determining the relevant parameters with the tactical AI implementing them.

Alfred

Thanks Alfred - I understand the difference between CS convoys and the auto convoy system for cargo TFs, but I've not been able to find any discussion of what "computer control" does for a TF.

I take it that for a sub TF under "Computer control" would not behave the same as if automatic sub operations were set globally. Is there any use at all for "computer control" of a TF?

No...

The AI will determine fuel and supply shortages at bases and allocate shipping to send there.
Supply control is the crux of this game, and needs to be done by the player manually or through CS Convoys.

This is why you see AI controlled merchant ship convoys making suicidal runs into contested areas of the game, with no hope of achieving their destination.

Never start a game with subs on AI control.
Sub patrols need to be set to patrol areas manually.
With their home base capable of supporting submarine OP's, repairs and resupply of those vessels.
