Hey you guys: There's been some kind of mixup in that Mike thinks the turn is
with me and I think the turn is with him so I'm wondering if we're going to
restart or what. Mike hasn't answered my inquiry yet so I don't know where
we are yet. I'll keep you guys in the loop.

I'm afraid our current game may expire.

A look at the centre. In the South, I will continue the destruction of the Czech forces near Munich. As well, I will counter attack against the WP forces near Nurnberg.

What did I do right

Initial defence plan was good - I was able to plug holes early and take out the WP airmobile/airborne units early.
My plan for the Air Force was good.

I focused on taking over the skies – with my fixed wing units really working on AS or Interdiction missions. My rockets attacked the WP airfields. I think that this added to the supply problems the WP was having meant that the WP Air Force did not really impact the battle.

Counter attack – Op Veritable. I enjoyed the counter attack – the planning and execution of it. I was able to break through the WP line, leading to the surrounding of the vast majority of the WP units. The destruction of these WP units was very important and helped ensure the final outcome.

What could I improve

I did not keep formations together - This is partly due to having to plug holes right away, but I could have done a better job of moving units together. I got lucky that this did not hurt me more.

Should have protected my carriers better - Small point, but I did not move them when they got attacked and the WP was able to sink them.

Final Thoughts

That was fun. I was able to absorb the initial attack and then had lots of fun launching my own counter. It was interesting to see the impact of the out of theatre events. I’m really lucky to have won the battle of the Atlantic.

I prefer scenarios with Bn level counters. I like being able to use my artillery to make more of an impact on the battle. However, this was a fun scenario!

Beautiful AAR as always, and congrats for the major victory.

Keeping formations togather is always tricky when you are on the defensive: lots of shuffling units around to plug the holes.
