AGS

a small hole just north of the picture
northern part of the front is in good state

southern is special
i have problems to close the pockets
supply must be poor for some of them but they are strongly entrenched

some thoughts must be made for next time

Something horrible has happened to the supply lines all of a sudden. It's half what it was just a turn or two ago. This is July 20, 1941 and it's not supposed to dip this low until the mud season.....I thought. The force supply stockpile is only 16. I need to look into this I think.

some more units are isolated against Berezina river

during is turn Larry made attacks against my airfield
this cost me 9 planes for 85 of his own
a pounding near Jelgava by the Marat (soviet BB) cost me 20 more
this turn saw 17 disappear for 40 of them

2 more divisions are on rail to move next time

This the area just NE of Riga and represents the T10 positions of all the units that I can see so far. There's been a lot of fighting going on and so far the Soviets are holding them back but I'm not sure for how long they can hold back the horde. What's going on is that Patrick breaks a hole in my lines and then infiltrates units through it and surrounds my units just before destroying them. I don't have enough units at hand to build a proper MLR and what's here amounts to maybe a light screen. I''ve held down the period key and disembarked everybody that was riding on the rail and I've got about 9,800+ for a rail cap and I'm thinking I can move about 8 divisions with that and it just happens that I have that many divisions ready to roll. I'm wondering where to put those 8 fresh divisions and I'm leaning to the NW end of the front lines. But, I might ought to take a look at the entire front lines before I start embarking troops. I just received this set of moves from Patrick and haven't spent a lot of time looking around yet. I've already checked the aircraft, moving them to better spots and tweaking their range to just cover the front lines and maybe a little margin past them. Just enough to stay deadly but only for a thick band along the front lines.

This is a view of the Stalin Line down south and you can see where the Germans are forcing gaps and surrounding Soviet units and the Stalin Line is slowly evaporating. The Soviets are busy building another MLR SE of this position but it's going to function as a light screen at best. Patrick is keeping his fighters right up at the front I suppose to be able to reach further into Soviet territory. I'm supposing that the Axis supply levels are still more than adequate.

one thing about AGN is that Marat has been sunk for few planes

AGC
in this part few units will be cut
we found the next MLR established from Vitebsk to Orsha

air losses are fine 26 vs 132
during larry turn, they did not come back

AGS

few advance but will be glad with it

on the length of the front
39 regiment and 13 HQ were destroyed this turn

for the moment
50 regiment and 14 HQ will be isolated

this will probably take some time for them to recover (especially for artillery)

already turn 12 or 7-30-1941

picture from AGN
failure in orders mean Totenkopf and 6th Panzer are on reorganization

some advance is made at high cost

air war is still good 26 vs 233 (about 1 for 9)

in AGC

Dnieper has been crossed south of Orsha

some units destroyed a factory in Gomel, which was not garrisoned

losses this time 39 regiment and 14 HQ
isolated next time: 46 regiment and 13 HQ

even if they have conscript to recover, the fact that many units divide before disappearing will take more time to recover

The fighting is fierce and savage and the Axis forces are surrounding my units and killing them. They will all be gone soon and the Axis forces will own the ground.

The Axis units are streaming across the river and pushing the Soviet units backward and I keep railing units into this AO and put them to work right away but I'm not going to be able to hold them back much longer because the Soviet units are slowly evaporating. It's T13 already and I'm thinking that my defending forward might have been a good idea.

This is what's going on down south at the Stalin Line. It's getting surrounded, isolated, and soon will be destroyed. The Axis units are getting across the river to the east and are spreading out and converting hexes and making great progress. The Axis RR engineers are up at the front lines on the lower left of this image.

This is a zoomed out view of the above image and you can see how grim it's looking for the Soviets because most of them are trapped and will be destroyed soon. The Soviets don't have the resources to stop the Axis advance and will have to fall back further east to the next river.

Here's a zoomed out view of what's going on around the Smolensk area right now. The Axis forces have forced a crossing and are now pushing and shoving their way into my backfield. The Soviet troops to the north of the breakthrough are threatened with being cut off so they need to displace and reposition further east. There's no longer any superior defensive positions until way to the east and the Axis forces will soon own it all. There's no way to build an MLR fast enough to stop the Axis forces. I'm going to have to start building an MLR between here an Moscow somewhere.

news from reichminister about turn 15

in AGN
a lone stack and a HQ stay isolated from before
this as allowed more units to move toward front line

air war is still advantageous 34 vs 203 (mostly I-153 and I-16)
