I guess I may be the first to post or perhaps the least productive at work on Friday Dec 21

Gentlemen and Ladies -

I thank you for a year of giggles, and ****s, knowledge gained, respect, interesting thoughts.

May the season bring health , happiness, and prosperity to you all.

We were taught this song in Basic Training at Sand Hill, Fort Benning.
Sung to the tune of "O Christmas Tree"

We like it here, we like it here
You bet your ass we like it here

We'll never leave this paradise
Because it is so F###ing nice

We like it here, we like it here
You bet your ass we like it here

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

This is a busy time of year for me, so no "silent nights" here. But I wish all you forumites a happy holiday season and a wonderful New Year.

Peace on earth!

Twas the night before Christmas
And all through the house
Not a creature was stirring
Not even my wireless mouse

The stocking were hung
By the chimney with care
My spouse covered my monitor
And not to suppress glare

My family had just settled down
To a long winters yearns
When I snuck downstairs to plow through
A couple or few turns

I had just completed
A check of every squadron and base
When I heard a commotion
But not ‘air raids’ this case

A jolly old fat man
Dressed all in plastics
Was surfing my shoulder
Critiquing my tactics

He scolded me for errors
In risking my Carriers
In attacking to soon
Against Japanese defensive barriers

I bid him good night
That I was extremely capable
That the doom of my opponent
Was clearly inescapable

He said not a word
And went on with his duty
Leaving my girls Yoga pants
And products of beauty

And before he left me
That very night
He suggested new strategies
To win every fight

I pondered his words
Thinking I may have learned more
But listening to amateurs
Can be a bit of a bore

Chickenboy version:

He left my girls yoga pants
then deep in the night
swearing oaths and chants
I found them way too tight

In my game with Joseph (SqzMyLemon), I landed the majority of my Japanese forces on Cocanada to secure a portion of the Indian subcontinent. I sent him this little ditty to record the day for posterity.

For you forum bretheren from the Great White North, you may appreciate the following song. Sung, of course, to the tune of your national anthem:

Cocanada!
By our ill-gotten hand!
Your land is ours, and under our command.
By force of arms, the shrapnel flies,
Our new laws? Affrontery!
By Odin's hand,
Cocanada, you'll bow to our sentries.
We'll keep our land Allied dog free!
Cocanada, what's with these ticks and fleas?
Cocanada, tree stands for our sentries.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and may all of you have a wonderful New Year to come! I always hope the new year is better than the last, and sometimes that's not saying much, but let's hope this year gives us all peace, joy, and blessings, and many victories in WITP-AE!
