Good News! Rich told me Scott has given his approval to freely distribute TOTP/PITS provided its understood there will be no support.

Here's what I have, sadly I dont have any of the expansions.
TOTP-PITS folders

I guess the same is true for Dragons in the Mist, if someone has it available.

Great news anyway! Thanks!

Hello,

Below all my scenarios for top2 and pits:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/2t39qm272ex117j/top2_pits.zip?dl=0

Most of the scenarios are made by myself. So don't expect high quality scenario's.

Best regards,

Hapshott

Gents -

Just came across this thread.

I have the original discs for TOP2; Panthers in the Shadows; Dragons in the Mist and Broken Alliance. I also have the Map Builder utility.

While reasonably computer literate, I do not have Drop Box (but could do the free trial). I have just recovered TOP2 and Panthers from Carbonite - just under 7 Megs each. Will have to look on an old back up drive for BA and Dragons; I think that both are stand alone. I am presuming that Rich and Scott have no objections to the Expansion Discs.

Perhaps one of the Smart Guys (tm) could guide me through this.

Am not on the computer during the week, but will return next weekend.

I have both POA2 and Tigers Unleashed; but still enjoyed the DOS games about four years ago.

Mac

Hello Mac,

Very good to hear that you want to share the files.

I think that the easiest method is dropbox. You get a few 100mb for free.

You need to upload the files to the public folder of your dropbox account. After that you can generate the link and copy it in the message here on the forum.

I only use dropbox in the web browser. I never used the dropbox app you get with your Windows 10 installment.

Best regards,

Hapshott.

i use Dosbox for TOTP and PITS, - was Panzers East a dos game. I dont have any other emulators except WinUAE and C64. I wouldnt mind though playing some old Atari ST/Apple 2e games if there are emulators for these- SSI's Battlecruiser i woud like to play and it was never released on Dos

I missed the SSI BC portion of your post before, but this should fix that aspect...

Hello,

I just had contact with someone who has dragons in the mist and broken alliance. I assumed that only the campaign disks are allowed for distribution. Is it also allowed to distribute the Dragon in the mist and broken alliance game executables?

Gents -

Sorry about the delay in responding; I have been off the computer due to work.

Hapshott - I will follow your instructions; if help is needed I will contact you.

OK - trial Dropbox account created. Here is the share link:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/dd8ft79lxf23xzj/PitS%20TotP%20BA.zip?dl=0

TotP; BA; PitS; TotP maps. Will have to look elsewhere for Dragons in the Mist; do not remember if standalone or addon. Also have to find the editor. Of course I have the DOS discs; but no way to read them...

Let me know if this works.

Mac

Dragons is on a external Western Digital drive; I am having problems retrieving (although worked fine earlier). Will figure it out.

Thanks for your efforts. DitM is eluding me since the ‘90s (I never cared about BA)

Hi RFalvo69 -

I have used my Western Digital external drive with my current Win10 computer earlier this year; will have to update drivers and software. My self appointed Mission in Life is to get DitM up and posted! ;)

Thank You for your kind words; I have been helped many, many times by the awesome folks on the Matrix Forums - it is my pleasure, Sir!

Got Dragons in the Mist uploaded to dropbox; enjoy!

Note: The second link connects to Dragons in the Mist only. Have not been successful in adding all files in one spot; still learning. Please let me know if the second link does not work.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/dd8ft79lxf23xzj/PitS%20TotP%20BA.zip?dl=0

https://www.dropbox.com/s/h3tthaismmb8gy5/TOP%20Series%20-%20Dragons%20in%20the%20Mist%20%281.02%29.rar?dl=0

Also:

Emailed and checked in with Rich and Scott of HPS to make sure I was on track; all OK- Scott has gotten a kick out of the ongoing popularity of these older DOS games; he did the programming.

Thank you for your effort!! There is only a small (last?) problem: the second link opens my Dropbox. The key error is that the link points to the "home" Dropbox - yours in your case, mine in my.

Could you just move Dragons along with the other games in the first link? It works fine.

Thank you again! And Scott should consider a more modern version of these games - a better UI and modern graphics (but still on the "simple" side) would suffice. They are classics.

It worked! I have already installed the game under DOSBox.

Today I officially finished a quest started in 1995! I can't wait to prowl in the jungles of the PTO using this system.

Thanks again for your efforts!

thanks everyone on this thread, sorry i have been away from thi sforum and forgot about this thread. thanks for the uploads of what possibly may be some new scenarios for tops/pits! as for those expansion disks, it feels to me that they are lost now for good sadly

another game which is in this same family is Point of Attack 1 - I got a boxed copy of this a while back, its very similar to TOPS but for the modern setting, were there ever any expansions for it?

I don't know the ones you guys are talking about, but I have some 3.5's stowed away so I understand the interest. I couldn't resist posting this from one that was mentioned.

A real nice game from Avalon Hill circa 1984 for the C64
