The are two boxes under the "Landing Zone Throttle" section in Cargo Mission Editor that have 2000 in the top one, and 1000 in the bottom one. What are those for, and what do they represent? I've never heard anyone mention them in the tutorials?

Hi,
with time the description has disappeared (corrosion may be )
The first setting '2.000' corresponds to the transit altitude for air cargo operations.
And the second setting '1.000' corresponds to the drop altitude for air cargo operations.

That's what I thought, but the planes never fly at either of those altitudes. While I make no changes to the 2000/1000 heights, my planes continue to climb and climb and climb after they take off. In fact, they are dropping cargo from 13000 feet when it's time for the drop.

Is it possible that the "corrosion" <lol> also wiped the function as well?

Another thing that seems to have disappeared is the ability to pick items from the list to be loaded. (It's the box directly about the 2000/1000 one.) I can create the mission, set it up, let it fly, and it drops its cargo (all of it), but none of the cargo ever shows on on that list, and I've tried everything. In or words, everything works fine, but the items on the list never show up.

Thanks.

Doug

You're right, the corrosion has also devoured the function. But the rest seems to work well. Although the cargo function never really worked well ...
That's because you put the cargo items directly into an airplane in flight, I think.
The 'Cargo items to unload' window shows the cargo items available on the base of the aircraft.
In order for the cargo items to appear in the window, you must put cargo items in the base of the platform that must drop the cargo.
For the air drop, select the base of the plane, then add the cargo with Editor> Unit actions> Edit cargo.Create a box (Beach Area) in which you want to drop your cargo,(for the air drop, a RP is enough). You create the cargo mission and you assign your plane to the mission, its base is automatically displayed in the 'Motherships' window and the cargo ship in the window below 'Cargo items to unload'.
You select in the window 'Cargo items to unload the cargo' that you want to drop with this plane. With the arrows <<(0)<(- 1)>(+ 1) >> (all) you choose the quantity.
The units assigned to the mission will go back and forth between the base and the Beach Area until it has dropped the amount of cargo you have selected.

I have it working well enough now by using the work-around of assigning the cargo directly to the unit from the base as opposed to assigning it from the Mission Screen. From the Mission Screen, weird things can happen, such as a vanishing act. <lol>
