Hi folks, I'm struggling to understand why, if I have a unit on a hex with a supply value of 7, that the unit's supply percentage increases by 3% each turn (not moving). What is the correlation between the number 7 and a 3% increase? I'd also add my voice to previous posts on the forum that a hotkey to show the supply overlay would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris,

As I understand it, supply increase is mostly affected by two factors, 1) Force Supply stockpile, and 2) Force Supply Distribution Efficiency, so the 3% increase is probably derived by the combination of the two scenario design settings. If you open the Operational_Art_of_War_manual.pdf and enter "supply" as a search term at the top, it really helps find all the supply information embedded in the manual itself.

Regards

I've detailed the way supply is calculated here:

http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/fb.asp?m=4418354

Even if it wasn't corroborated by anyone else in this forum, it gives a precise result.

Nice read... Nice to know about the additional effect of High Supply being "OFF". This is normally the default now, so most users including myself would assume no effect instead of a reduction of 1/3.

Thanks Cabido. I've read through the manual several times and looked at many forum posts but I somehow missed this post of yours. After a quick glance at it, it looks like it may be just what I need. I'll have a closer look tomorrow.

Thanks,
Chris
