Salut, Hello SIPRES

I am using your counters with F.W. II -20. and i was wondering if you still updating your counters for Fall WEiss II - 20 ?

Because mountain division have a cav picture instead of the "gebirgs" one.

I'm having problems using these counters with the Matrix Games version with the 1.16 beta, despite following the instructions carefully. Most countries have the correct counters, but Germany is using the Italian counters for some reason, and Italy is using the vanilla counters. Does anyone know how I might be able to fix this?

EDIT: I think it's because the numbering of the bitmaps/major_XX folders appear to have changed a little in 1.16 with the increase in the number of majors from 8 to 10

I've figured this out so far:

Germany - old major_07 > new major_08 (I think, though major_10 looks the same)
Italy - old major_08 > new major_09

I'm not 100% which country the new major_07 is meant to represent, though looks like a Commonwealth one, perhaps (as does major_01)

At left is WiE, at right is WaW. In both cases the number to the left of each country is its' Bitmap Folder, EXCEPT as seen in the red box [which is for WiE ONLY]. That is, #6 Germany uses Bitmap Folder 7 and #7 Italy uses Bitmap Folder 8 [for WiE].

Thanks, So, 6,7 and 10 are not used in WiE 1.16?

By changing the folder numbers for Germany and Italy I've managed to get those to display correctly.

2 links are available

one is for WIE v1.16 and WAW (does include China, India, Japan)
The other link is for WIE v1.15

It's wonderful. Thanks so much!

The ship counters, the way you set the ships on that base of color, really gives the impression of 'at sea.'

When zooming out, it's still distinctive, especially the way the HQ units stand out, so readily visible. And the unit symbols are so sharp.

Really masterful.

Agreed, these are great, fantastic job, thank you.

At first i couldn't get the new Russian counters to show in WAW. I use JSME, i looked around and it seems that Major 4 bitmaps are the only ones in the bitmaps folder of each campaign. i just renamed the folder in each campaign folder and it worked fine. Seems strange that only Major 4 are in each campaign bitmap folder.

With Welks map and these counters its a whole new world.

in WaW all my counters work, including british ones EXCEPT for the UK counters ( all of europe and north africa), i cant get them to change for my life, any help??

Yes its available for WAW, just download from the first link provided (on first post of this thread)
Regarding install with steam, I dont have a clue how steam works so its better to ask or check on the forum if anybody else had same question as yours, maybe with "steam" searching field

Backup the files you are going to overwrite...

The files to replace are in Documents/My Games/Strategic Command - World at War/Campaigns/(your choice of campaign)/Bitmaps. You will have to change your Campaign.ini to all 1s as well...

Example

#CUSTOM_BITMAPS= 1
#CUSTOM_INTERFACE= 1
#CUSTOM_SOUND= 1
#CUSTOM_MUSIC= 1
#CUSTOM_FONTS= 1
#CUSTOM_LOCALIZATION= 1

Someone else will have to explain the JSGME method. I screwed it up and had to delete it.

I love this mod but I have one issue with it. The units with the USSR are the same as they were before. All the other icons are new just the Soviets that are not. Any idea how to fix this?

I have this exact same problem.The issue is that the game references the Soviet bitmaps from each scenario folder here:
SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Strategic Command WWII War in Europe\Campaigns\SCENARIO NAME\Bitmaps

Try the following just to see if it's a simple fix. Open the scenario you want to play with this mod in the editor. Choose under
Campaigns/Edit Major Country IDs Data. Make sure that the USSR is Number 4 and that the "Set Display Source" is \Bitmaps\major_4\

That’s not it. The USSR is set as 4 and 4.

All of the other nations are unaffected. Weird.
