It happens regularly that when I select one unit in the combat planner, this may moves a bit and even resize a bit the combat planner panel. Not a big deal, simply not "UI smooth" for me.
Could there be an option to prevent this panel to move/resize ? (an option to say : "don't move and/or be at this standard big size during all this scenario")

Another thing : isn't there a way to quickly select all the units in an hex to attack in the combat planner ? Couldn't it be interesting to add this functionality ?

And finally : is there a way to unstack the enemy units in the target hex ? If not, it could be nice to be able to see more directly what's there (= unstacked).

That are only very small suggestions and I'm new to the game, so there are certainly some of this things who already exists somewhere, if that's the case, I'm sorry, and please forgive me !

Do you mean the same issue as this thread in the Tech Forum? If so then it is a known issue and you will find there temporary workarounds:

Do you mean something different from Single Group Attack in the right-click menu?

If you toggle to Group Composition view in the Unit panel, enemy stack composition will show up there when you move the mouse over an enemy stack.

Yep changing the font size does fix it, but the text now is way too small for me :S

Oh.
That's exactly the kind of things I was looking for.

I'm so ashamed, 2 of my 3 questions were due to my lack of reading the manual ^^" Very sorry for that.
Thank you very much for taking the time to answer and to help me.

Well, maybe some people will arrive in this thread and put real wishes for the combat planner !

Thanks again for the help & patience

Not at all, feel welcome here! Happy gaming!

I believe the Battle Planner jumping issue is being looked into and hope you can continue playing with the font workaround for the time being. (Font size 6 always works for me, slightly bigger 8 most of time time.) You can also follow other known issues here in the Tech forum:

The manual is very well done but obviously (it comes at 176 pages) for some things you need to dive deep into it.
Have you seen Bob Cross' much shorter TOAW IV User Interface Guide? I hope you like it:

Thank you very much for the warm welcome

Yes the issue seems to be fixed with the 4.0.1.15 Beta version. I tried and it seems to works well :) That's really nice to have rapid & good support !

I saw it but forgot about it XD Thanks for putting it to my attention again ;) I'll definitely look at it, alongside the manual ! Will be very useful.

It seems so ! Thank you for the very quick fix ;)
By the way, I noticed you cannot move it manually anymore at all, is this intentional ?

You now need to grab them by the area right outside of the visible area.

Ho, indeed. It works perfectly well thanks ! ;)
My cursor isn't changing its color to say I can do that, I don't know if this is intentional, if yes : couldn't that be useful to have a visual feedback for this possibility ? (that when you're in a certain area around a box, you are allowed to move the box by dragging it) It's only a suggestion !
