Wild Bill Wilder designed this scenario back in the old days and its an easy fun wild ride thru the desert! A couple of us got together and made some adjustments to it. Change List is at the end of the Scenario Description.

No idea, I didn't know him, he was before my time. I hope he isn't active here, or he may take exception to changes being made to one of his creations

Thank you I enjoyed this scenario
But what's the difference between this and the Desert Storm '91 scenario which is already included in the game?

Change List is at the end of the Scenario Description. It is probably more than you want to know

Well that sucks, this one doesn't have any custom equipment or even graphics files. So technically, that can't happen. Do you get it every time you try to open this scenario ?
If you want, try to get rid of it by opening the scenario in the editor and saving it. No need to change anything in the editor, just save the scenario. That usually stops the message.

Every time, yes (at least - since the beta update....). But now I've saved over it in the editor, as suggested, and it's ok. Thanks.

That reminds me... I've got to check on the "Desert Sabre" variant by RF_Mikael... Basically it's a remake of the original Desert Storm with the emphasis on ground war. It makes for a more even contest and highly mobile armor shenanigans in the desert.

I started DS '91 (in-game version) last week. Pushed in the Iraqi line here and there pretty well on Turn 1. Then hit End Turn. The screen became a splash of moving Iraqi units and explosions. When Turn 2 came up for me there were like 10 visible Iraqi units left on the whole board. Interdiction Air got the rest!

I was around in May 2000 when MatrixGames first started and the only game in town was SPWAW. For several years Wild Bill was very active, but due to health concerns he had to step away. He was one of the people who helped lay the foundation for what MatrixGames has become today.
