Just started out with the God of War mission from the COW campaign, and set up a Support mission for my AEW, ELINT, Recon and Tanker aircraft, with a small escort (since hostilities haven't begun yet) of a few fighters, and I enabled the 1/3rd rule.
That seemed to work fine for the fighters and tankers, but the game launched all of my ELINT and AEW aircraft, and all my Recon UAVs.

Screenshot and savegame attached.

Do you have a save from after you created the mission, but before they launched. I set up a similar mission in a new game, and they launched as expected - 1/3 only

Okay, did basically the same thing, and saved between mission creation and aircraft take-off. Here you go.

Looks like the game is using 1/3rd of the largest group type (6x J-7EH, or 2 planes) for each of the groups rather than calculating 1/3rd of each group type. Each of the other group types that are part of that mission should have only one plane up instead of the two that do go up.

Hmmmm yeah, that could be it. But I'm pretty sure it worked correctly in the past.

Added to our list.

Workaround is separate support missions.

Thanks guys!

Mike

Just a quick update from me: in the current build (936), using seperate support missions does not work-around the problem.
