On the Peruvian Air Force side I have a Strike Mission aimed at an airfield. Specific hangars are targeted. Aircraft assigned to this mission do some strange things.

1) They overfly the target at minimum weapon release altitude without dropping ordnance and then circle the target. Eventually they drop bombs. This happens in bad weather (scenario standard) and clear (test).

2) Aircraft WILL strafe the target on the first pass (strafing has been enabled for the mission). They also seem to strafe out of nose arc as they circle the target.

I've ran into this problem as well with using the mission planner for land strikes.

It (something) is setting the strike altitude to the minimum altitude of the release envelope, but the aircraft are coming in a fraction below that. In your scene the min release envelope is 229m for those FABs but your aircraft are coming in at 228.6m. I changed the altitude of one of the first bombers to 229.3m and it released whilst the unchanged did not.

I just ran into the same problem on my current scenario and remembered seeing your post, so I thought I'd look at your scene and see if the same thing was happening. It is.

Also, you have the rare modified MIG-21 that had a 360 degree turret mounted on the bottom and thus it can fire canon in all directions.

Ah. Perhaps I didn't notice the difference because I'm using feet instead of meters?

This was the only place (scenario) I ran into it. Usually dumb bombs work just fine.

Dug into this one.

The problem was that the auto-generated 'ingress attack' waypoint has changed type from 'split' to 'ingress attack', and the split command has become a property on the waypoint itself.

This caused the AI to adjust the IP point onto the Target waypoint because of the way the game checks and adjusts flightplans for moved targets.

This in turn resulted in the aircraft not adjusting altitude until it had hit the IP waypoint which was on top of the Target waypoint. In the meantime the AI had ordered the aircraft to fire guns (allocate weapons), and those got precedence in after the A/C had reached IP and ready to climb. As such, the A/C would empty their guns before finally climbing to 750ft to release bombs.

The logics have already been fixed and should work fine in v1.12 onwards

At second thought... I added code that auto-updates older, airborne strike missions with correct waypoint types etc. So the above scenario will work just fine in B932 onwards.
