Conflict of Heroes goes on Steam!

This exciting new release is a faithful adaptation of the renowned Conflict of Heroes board game that won the Origins Historical Game of the Year, Charles Roberts Wargame of the Year and the James F. Dunnigan Design Elegance Award, as well as many others!

Designed and developed in cooperation with Uwe Eickert, the original designer of Conflict of Heroes, and Western Civlization Software, the award-winning computer wargame studio, no effort has been spared to bring the outstanding Conflict of Heroes gameplay to the computer. Conflict of Heroes includes an AI opponent as well as full multiplayer support with an integrated forum and game lobby. To remain true to the core gameplay of the board game, the PC version is designed to be fun, fast and easy to play, though hard to master. The game design is also historically accurate and teaches and rewards platoon and company-level combined arms tactics without overwhelming the player with rules.

Conflict of Heroes goes on Steam!

Post by Daniele »

Excellent news from the frontline! It’s time of an endless-time classic to reach the Steam Platform!

Conflict of Heroes: Awakening the Bear, the acclaimed adaption of the multi-award boardgame with the same name, has been re-worked and re-mastered incorporating all the improvements since its original release!

The same will happen for the great expansion Ghost Divisions and the standalone Storms of Steel!

Important!

While on our store the products will keep the orignal structure base game – expansion – stand alone, on Steam you’ll find Storms of Steel listed as DLC of Awakening the Bear.

Stay tuned, the entire package will be available very soon!

Super! - Can't wait to move my copies over. Something to get back to playing while we wait for the re-release of the Storms of Steel 2nd edition Board game.[:)]
Thanks and keep up the great work.

Just so I'm clear, if I've already purchased everything, I can now get it all on Steam?

Does "re-worked and re-mastered" mean that anything has actually changed or does it just mean the exact same game + updates currently available are being moved to Steam

All good news. Depending, I might resume playing this game again.

Is the Steam serial the same as the Matrix serial number?
It's not on Steam yet, however.

Where exactly in the support or members section do you get Steam Keys, because it is not at all obvious.

Before zakblood made his post, I looked around, eventually stumbled upon the method he described. CoH (including the GD DLC, but not the SS one) is reinstalled on my PC. Newly (for me) operating under Steam, everything seems to be WAD.

make the steam keys for all 3 games,

add in the keys to the game in steam,

Conflict of Heroes: Awakening the Bear first, then the other 2, then press install on Conflict of Heroes: Awakening the Bear, which activates the other 2 keys and all 3 then work in steam, or that's how i did it.

I never purchased SS. Other than new scenarios and maybe a few new units, what else does SS bring to the game?

Thanks for that. There was no indication before that you had to use the Slitherine site and not the Matrix site. Is there a reason that isn't possible on the Matrix site?
