You can see blizzards during winter in Aleutians. Other than that there should be a Monsoon season - yet I fail to see any effects on big allied army deep in Burma for half a year. IRL they would have starved at least twice or thrice in that time, not to mention fuel for their tanks and vehicles....

In cold zones construction slows to a snail's pace during winter.

Much of the action early on is near the equator, where there are no seasons.

Little change in temperature, but in many areas there are distinct wet and dry seasons.

Thanks for all feedback, there not appears sensible effect of seasons - in this case jwolf precision is more correct: wet and dry seasons, on air operations.

To paraphrase a long simmering debate on these boards:

Advanced Weather : ON = always raining / stormy weather

If I play more than 3 turns in a row my jungle rot starts to flare back up.

In some places there are only two seasons Dry and Rainy.

Where dry means it still rains just not as much.

stock, vanilla game? ...did you include mods in your question, too?
afaik, RHS by sid is doing exactly that - giving the player a sense of seasons.
every year, from 1941(winter) on until the end gets 4 different seasonal files (pwhexe.dat ect) for spring, summer, autumn and winter - but i'm sure you already knew that...
anyhow... read up on the RHS mod on the 'Scenario Design and Modding'!

cheers!

Thanks. I didn't know that about RHS, i didn't even know it was possible to change weather files.
