Der Kuenstler's Realistic Terrain Mod

Post by Der Kuenstler »

Actual photos were used whenever possible for this mod. I changed the trees to pine trees so they would look right with snow on them.

Back up your Decisive Campaigns Barbarossa/graphics folder. Replace the matching files in the folder with the files provided.
If you prefer blue water (see pics **budd** provided below) do not replace your water files.

Just loaded it up and took a look....nice. If you have JSME installed just drop it in the mod folder and activate, the folder structure is good to go. Thanks again, defiantly enhances the experience.

Love everything about it, save for the rendering for water and lakes! Any chance of a normal blue for that? Otherwise, brilliant work!

you know i never even noticed the water at first glance, too busy looking at the terrain. Have to agree the water could use little more blue.

You can just leave out all the water files and it will be the old blue, but it won't look as realistic. Looking straight down on water - especially river water - it is brown. The color was taken from a satellite photo.

Ok, that is much better! Can anyone upload the water files from the original; I didn't back up anything and overwrote the original graphics files. Really beautiful work!

Thanks **budd** - I added a line in my initial post about the blue water option.
