quick question about installation - i can see that i need to copy bits to the installation manually which is fine - however do i do this to a stock install, or stock + extended or even to a between the storms install

Sanderz: You will need the extended map. Other than that you shouldn't need anything more than what I have in my file. I would have a second game install, because of the art changes. I may be wrong though. Download art folders into your art folder. (You will have to replace your stock art folders). The game files need to be downloaded into your Scen folder. I'm not the most computer literate person, so I could of missed something. Thanks for taking an interest in my mod.

thanks DOCUP

i read that as:

1) install stock
2) apply official patches
3) apply latest beta patch
4) install the extended map
5) install your mod, by copying files to relevant folders,overwriting files where necessary

will have a look - have been looking at all the recent mods, there seems to be quite a few lately, and trying to decide which one to play

are there more changes on the horizon? the difficulty with new mods is knowing when to start a game as they can take a while to iron out any bugs etc

Your welcome Sanderz. Yes, you read me right. I like the pun there. I am stll open to idea to change or add stuff, but mostly right now I am fixing bugs and my mistakes. I have been working on something else with the French still in control of Indochina. I believe if I do that one I might put in some extra stuff.

There are a lot of new mods out. I like it. What are you looking for if you don't mind me asking? Oh, do you have any suggestions?

no suggestions as yet - may do when i get it loaded up, though will wait for the next update before doing that

what am i looking for? good question!

something different and ahistorical with extra stuff (Germans/French etc), but perhaps not too different as balancing any extras, and particularly the economy, must be very difficult, though how i can judge that i am not sure

also would want something that changed China to make it a lot more difficult as it seems that in a lot of games china gets stomped too easily

over the past few months i've had quick looks at :

RHS - though i didn't like the fact that Jap production/upgrade decisions were removed and no kamikaze - having said that what was done with the maps (for different years/seasons) was fantastic, and had some balance changes changes to China. There were also huge changes to how the economy works and balancing that for mid to end game must be hard.

BigB - i liked that a lot but maybe not different enough, not sure, but probably the safest bet when it comes to long term balance

Focus Pacific - lots and lots of goodies, am still looking at this one

Are you wanting to play the Japanese side? Are you looking for AI or PBEM play.

China: is a work in progress. I don't think China is a simple fix. I think that China depends on tactics also.

The Japanese side is something of a mystery to me. I would like recommendations from Japanese players. I have thought, but I'm afraid of messing something up.

My goal of this mod is to stay similar to real life but throw in some plausible changes. The KNIL is one that had a lot of changes to go in different ways. If things would of happened earlier. The Java campaign would of been different. There are others also. I am still looking.

So I am taking another look at the Japanese side. The Mogamis are CAs in my mod. I have read that the Japanese wanted more CAs instead of CLs. So they will get a few more. I am looking at other things to change for the Japanese.

Anyone got any ideas?

I have had a set back. I lost my last computer with some changes made to this mod. I need to remember to fix the Mogamis.

Sanders: Have you had a chance to look at the mod?

Since the bases of this is that some things are accelerate. I am thinking of having one of the BDEs already at Singers. If I remember correctly Australia was wanting to pull some of its troops back home to help defend again it's a Japanese invasion. With the extra BDE, I was thinking about pulling one of the Aussi BDEs down to Perth. I was reading the I Corp thread might make some changes from that.

I am still here working on the update. I just switched my map data to one of Chemkids master pieces. Damn. Some updates, went through and lowered garrison limits to stock game numbers. I am looking at the aircraft data from Da Babes. I have heard people gripe about it. I am taking a look at it to see what people are looking at right now.

Anybody have any comments about Da Babes aircraft data? Good or bad?

Change log updated. I will upload new files tonite or tomorrow. I have been thinking of adding some of the older WW1 era ships that made it into the 30s before being scraped or those used as training ships. I just don't know where I can find some of the art work. I figure WPO would have the art work, but I don't have the game. Any ideas?
