I got a few new books. The Kursk book covers the Prokhorovka battle in great detail (1650 pages). I found that I need to make a few revisions in my Kursk scenarios. Around Oktiabrskii State Farm the anti-tank trench was down at the bottom of the hill in the ravine before the farm not as in my map next to it. Also, the Germans had 7 Mark IV tanks in the tank company defending near the RR embankment not 4 Mark IV and 4 Mark III tanks. (Apparently the battalion’s other two companies had a mixture of Mark IVand Mark III tanks, but they were outside the scope of the scenario.)

What was a coincidence is that I also bought the book on T-34 commander, Vasiliy Bryukhov, whose first battle was that battle. His tank was one of the Soviet tank horde that ran into the Germans near Oktiabrskii. His tank overran the German grenadiers and went into that very same anti-tank trench. He and a few T-34s got out of this to the other side but his tank took damage and had to retreat. Not much of his platoon survived.

The Kursk book also mentions that behind the panzer company were only grenadiers w halftracks and self-propelled artillery. I don't see a reason for Wespe and Hummels being that exposed. Maybe they are Marders. Besides we don't have Wespe or Hummel models.

I'll look forward to your revision. I imagine that book will have fodder for other scenarios as well.
