This could be "the game" for me, with the beach landings and all. I little put off by the graphics though. Want to read a review. Have no experience with John Tiller games.

How is this game different than his old Normandy game?

Different scale--units in panzer campaigns generally represent battalions, in panzer battles they represent platoons. The game engine is generally similar (but tweaked/improved for scale, etc), and the graphics are better in panzer battles.

I haven't bought any panzer battles games yet because they've started with two of my least favorite battles--Kursk and Normandy.

Have there been any improvements in the AI? In the past, the Tiller games had a mediocre AI IMO.
Thanks.

Good, or at least decent AI is a must. I want it to be a challenge as I most likely will play mostly vs AI to get to know the game system, before taking on a human opponent.
