Hi guys!
As I understand Iain McNeill blocked Karaganov on the forum
So now I will publish links to new units
I will do it in this topic at the request of R-35
I hope that the R-35 have enough persistence and patience to continue work on the mod

@Brazenman thank you! The Type 1 Chi-He is actually one of the units missing for the Pacific General Persia scenario. The others are:
Type 91 105mm artillery
Ho-Ni 2 self propelled artillery
Ho-Ni 3 self propelled artillery
Kihei - Cavalry
Imperial Guard - Infantry

Also, I don`t think anyone has been blocked. Probably just the thread closed because of the off-topic and it`s now waiting for a final decision. Since this is the last thread that allows normal modding to continue I want to ask everyone to NOT make even a single comment on anything other than on the game and modding. Any post discussing something else from now on can only be considered to have been made as a provocation and I`ll report it personally. I come here for the game and the artwork only and I trust everyone else does so to. Thank you!

Oh that`s great. Could you please tell, how many of the vanilla units allready were made in the new and better style? Only rough...about the half maybe?

Very nice looking Japanese units ) Where you can download all these updated units for all Nations !?

PS. And can be bought for extra money as DLC (called for example updated for Panzercorps units )!?

Those are not images from the mod I`m working on and many of the units there are not by H.Balck either. Please remove them so as not to create confusion!

I`m no expert on Japanese units though. At a quick search I was able to find these two photos:

Also there`s this group of 3d artwork but I don`t know how accurate they are:

bebro also portrayed them with bayonets in his IJA campaign mod. Maybe it would be interesting to place bayonets on their rifles and hopefully they`ll show in game too. :D

Thank you! I`ll add them to the game.

EDIT: About representing the Japanese Bicycle Infantry. I was thinking it might be better to have the graphics show the soldiers firing and then either a bicycle on the ground or a soldier with a bicycle at the back. Instead of having the bicycles as a transport I mean. My reason is that if you mount the unit on the bicycle transport (like we did with the dutch and the belgians) you gain slightly more movement points, but lose the ability to fire and the unit is vulnerable until the next turn. In a Pacific environement it might not be a good trade-off. Mounting and dismounting a bicycle is a quick thing so I`d rather have the unit with the extra movement points incorporated and just show graphically that they also have bicycles. My thoughts anyway.

H.Balck and R-35, I suggest to make a light amendment in mod

1.
H.Balck painted a very beautiful unit - NKVD_Border_Guards. ( And I do not understand why the R-35 refused to include it mod).

I agree that the border guards wore green caps. But the soldiers of the NKVD wore a dark blue caps.

In the second photo are represented border guards and NKVD together

Border guards it was an elite unit, they passed special training. In the fighting participated more than 60 border regiments.
The soldiers of the NKVD is much weaker unit. In total during the war at the expense of personnel of the NKVD was formed 29 divisions NKVD.

They can not be in one unit. It will be wrong.

In my opinion it will be correct, if H.Balck creates another identical unit only with dark blue caps.
I do not think that this would create considerable difficulties for H.Balck, but in the end we will be able to restore historical justice.

2.
Soviet tank BT (series BT-2, BT-5, BT-7, BT-7A, BT-7M) had two types of movement - tracked and wheeled (as the BA-10).

for example
Tank BT-7 had a top speed on tracks 62 km / h and on the wheel - 86 km / h.

BT was highly maneuverable but weakly armored tank.

I think it would be very appropriate if you implement this in the game (like you did BA-10).


Besides that
I am very glad that Japan will be in mod.

And it would be great if you could add in the mod:
Siberian Infantry
Mongolian Cavalry (Like Soviet unit)
Mongolian Militia (Like Soviet unit)

In this case it would be possible to do the scenarios for the Soviet Far Eastern Front and the Japanese Kwantung Army.

Oh cool. I didn`t think it were so many. Now I`m really looking forward to see the finished mod.

How is the landing craft going to be implemented? Is this meant to transport the troops from the bigger sea transport to the shore or should it just replace the faction`s sea transport entirely? There`s a landing craft for the soviets too (it lacks the bigunits card though) and I didn`t know what to do with it.

It is allowed it isn't allowed, the author has to understand that inquisitive minds will cross his excellent units to other mods even out of curiosity sooner or later) Or it will lock and on house PC extends!?)
