Hi all,

Wondering if its been done, or possible to do, to make bases generate territorial control?

Seems odd to me that I build a base in a system, some other race can settle, and all of a sudden I get a diplomacy hit because I've "built a base in their system".

Makes much more sense if I can claim a system by building in it. Colony or otherwise. Dare I pull out the realism card?

Thanks!

Not possible.

Territory is the way it is, when the game first released way back when, there was no control unless you could defend it. The AI could actually colonize the other planets in your home system, so it was changed to give you some sense of 'boarders'.
