Afternoon already? Is it time for Second Lunch yet? I think one of the houses below me has some cabbages in their garden ...

Now that was pretty cool. I saw on the news this evening a neighborhood near the University set up tables 1200' long on the street
and had a neighborhood Dinner. Neato!
Here, my neighbor a 1/2 block away in August always sets up an 8' x 12' TV screen in his front yard and shows movies. Complete with popcorn
machine. He gets around 30 to 40 people in the front yard. All free. City does the same in the park nearby. Coin toss on which movie to see.

Good morning!

Did you hear about the male who went into a ladies rest room? He did not get out on his own, he had to have help. He was a young male and apparently calmly waited in the ladies rest room.

I suppose that instead of the link I should have posted a picture. But someone does not like my posting certain pictures . . .

It looks like we will miss all the excitement from Dorian here in the center of the state. Down at the coast is another story. The 2 day Bike MS ride in New Bern was scheduled for this weekend but has been cancelled.

The dive into improving my new ride (2018 Jeep Wrangler JLU Sport S) after last weeks 12 hour off road adventure has begun. Rocker guards (protect the side of the Jeep from BIG rocks) ordered along with the tools I need to install them that I didn't already have.

Next month a front bumper with a winch plate.

Month after that, a 5 Ton winch.

And, once we have my mom's estate settled a 2.5" lift and 35 inch Mud Terrain tire set (5) with new rims.

Glad I save so much on my gaming by playing WitP:AE!

So Glad Dorian weakened and skirted the coast. Still wreaking havoc off the coast. Not as bad as a land fall. Gods graces and prayers.

Good news!

BTW, we have "Team Building" at work today... rafting on near-by river... and it will be raining... sub 20 degrees Centigrade...

Good morning. That rafting sounds like nice weather for warming up afterwards. Another body or two next to yours is the best way to warm up.

Gads. My Labrador has spots on his face. Called the vet and had an opening right away. Nice,
Upon arriving my idiot Labrador turned it into a pee fest. Entering the clinic he peed on the desk. On into the exam room he peed on the table. Leaving the exam room he peed on the doorway. Leaving the clinic he peed on my truck. Just allergies. Yep. Allergic to behaving.I ran out of apologies.

Excellent team building weather! Gets them huddling together to share body warmth. That gets the pheromones going and, well, team spirit just takes off! Clothes, even!

Oops, RJ already suggested this, but I see no need to wait until after the activity.

Are they little white apologies, or are they the whole enchilada type?

Being as I'm down yonder in the southern part of the great State of Texas, they're the 'whole enchilada' type. When I was used to live in the upper midwest, they were of the 'kit and kaboodle' variety. I think Shani is looking for those.

The little white apologies are distinctly Canadian. To Whit:

Arrogant Worms
Forgive us we're Canadian

We always say we're sorry
We like to stand in line
When you ask us how we're doing
We always say "Just fine!"

Forgive us, we're Canadian,
We try hard to be nice,
You too can be Canadian
If you follow this advice.

We disagree on everything
But we try to be polite
We don't believe in violence
Except on hockey nights!
We've adopted European ways
Replacing yards with meters
But we still must ask the question,
"How many miles in a litre?"

Forgive us, we're Canadian,
We try hard to be nice,
You too can be Canadian
If you follow this advice.

We can talk for hours of end
About the constitution
Which is dry as toast but sure as heck
Beats war or revolution.
We don't much like to wave the flag
We find patriotism shocking
So we celebrate on Canada Day
By going cross-border shopping!

Forgive us, we're Canadian,
We try hard to be nice,
You too can be Canadian
If you follow this advice.

We know how to dress for winter
We're not afraid of snow!
And we love our country quietly
And hope Quebec won't go!

Forgive us, we're Canadian
And that some might think us bland
But there's nowhere that we'd rather live
Than this vast and frozen land!
