Apologies if this is an inane question: Finished a game with Japanese production on (against AI) a couple of years ago and just started another. Now played a full month and much to my consternation there has been no increase in either airframe or engine production rate. Both remain stuck at the same starting value as at the game start - not a sausage shifted between max and disabled production rates. And of course same static behavior with RD air. Should something have been improved or has the time since I last played fogged my memory?

Think your noodle is fogged. LOL

Japanese industry does not expand unless you do it. Only real "auto" expansion will be R&D factories going into production etc. Everything else, you will have to manually expand, and pay the price for if you go too far with it.

I am well aware of that - recollect that I said I played with it before for almost two years! I have paid to increase so that readings look like zero 65(5) and so on. Issue is that it has not changed to for example 67(3). And I cannot remember how long or how soon such increases appear.

A Base with disabled industry needs at least 10.000 points of supply.
Then each day up to 1 disabled point of each industry will be repaired.

Thanks - I thought the 10,000 was the determinant. So I think I have a glitch as no increase in disabled regardless of supply status. Ah well - thanks again.

Whoops, misunderstood your post, but you did not say you actually expanded them in first post.

Best way to get supplies to move is max supply demand to the base in question. Main base screen, left side, take demand to 25,000. Next turn you will find 50-80,000 supply there if in the Home Islands.

More conservative is to set supply requested to 4000 or 5000. The supply routine will then stockpile the base with three months worth -- 12,000 to 15,000. You want supply equal to 10000 + 1000 times the number of factories under repair.
