Just saw that popup on the desktop, sadly to see that happen. I heard he was rushing to the hospital few days ago. I seen most of his shows and did well performing them. I will miss him :(

Just heard the news, a sad day indeed. A minute before I read this I was watching a Youtube video from NasaJetPropulsion starring ..Leonard Nimoy. Cool I think what more do you want a nice space video about exploration with the voice over of Mr. Nimoy himself. So next thing I hear is he passed away.

Goodbye Mr Spock, I enjoyed your travels.

The world has lost one of the unusual stars who did not have to be an egomaniac. and one of its better voice actors into the bargain. But perhaps:

"We didn't really lose nothin'. Jes' had to give it back after borryin' it for a while."

It was only in that time slot for Season 3 (thanks to Laugh-In).

I actually remember watching Leonard Nimoy tell DeForest Kelley to shoot Nancy, on that night in September of '66.

You're correct about the final season. It was on Thursday nights at 10 in its first 2 seasons, if I recall.

My favorite line of his was when Kirk said something, "You seemed ....almost human."

And he replied, "There's no need to insult me, Captain."

I don't think he would mind if I said, Ok, who got the mind meld from him....

My recollection is that the 1st and possibly second season were Mon or Tues around 7:30pm (memories do fade after nearly 50 years). I definitely recall the specifics of the 3rd season, as I'm close to being the only one that worked out well for. I am also sure that it wasn't on at 10:00pm until the third season.

I was in college at the time and well remember how every lounge and rec room was filled to capacity to watch every episode of "Star Trek" - a lasting memory for me.

Just another example of an excellent television series that was way above the intellect of the average viewer

Bring on those stupid reality TV shows

I'm still depressed over the news of his death My world just got a bit smaller as more and more events and people pass from reality into the realm of memories. A sad fact of aging as we near the end of our lives.

Our local station runs Star Trek every Saturday at 8:00 PM and I've had a chance to watch the series again (with CGI visual effects and modern 42 minute run time edits, but still...) It was a well written, produced and well acted drama.
