In the beginning of the my PBEM game I set combat animations to "off" to speed the initial stomping up. Now when things are settling in to a routine I want to play combat animations because there is a lot of detail in them that isn't shown otherwise. I can't make that happen. I set it on the main screen before I play the replay, and in the saved turn I set it in the options box. Still, whenever I load up a replay turn sent to me by my opponent, no animations.

Is this something that has to be set at the beginning? If so, that's a major shame

Thanks in advance!

I believe both you and your opponent have to set that setting in the beginning. You may be able to turn it on if both of you set it up on the same turn. Give it a try....GP
