Canada's Combat Ship Team has been awarded the Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) design contract by Irving Shipbuilding. Irving Shipbuilding is the Canadian Surface Combatant prime contractor and will build all 15 ships at Halifax Shipyard.

Airbus and Dassault Aviation secure first study contract for FCAS program
France and Germany have awarded the first-ever contract – a Joint Concept Study (JCS) – to Dassault Aviation and Airbus for the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) programme. The launch of the JCS was announced by the French Minister of the Armed Forces, Florence Parly, and her German counterpart, Ursula von der Leyen, at a meeting yesterday in Paris.
At Euronaval 2018, Dassault Aviation unveiled the NGF, next generation fighter, a stealthy, tail less next generation fighter currently at early design stage. According to an announcement made during Euronaval, this next gen fighter will have to be carrier capable and will fly from Marine Nationale future aircraft carrier.
