First scenario in CMANO so go easy on me...lol

This is from the Red Storm Rising book and the battle is based on escorting the damaged USS Providence to the Ice Pack..

The USS Providence is computer controlled as is the Russian side. You can expect enemy sub, surface and air forces....

Still a WIP and I need to tweak some events etc but I wanted to run it past you guys first for some critiques...

Great idea.

A nice recreation of the most dramatic moment of the book. Every time I tried to bring the damaged USS Providence to the Arctic, the Russians scored against him. The difficulty is appropriate. I'll try more times.

My only suggestion is a better introduction of the scenario through the briefing and the message orders, because the scenery is very good and the Mr. Clancy's memorable book deserves this.

How/where did they get the Providence?

Just wondering how far you got before they found her. She really can't do much at all in this scenario...

Most often the Providence was caught by the damn buoys. Also, these communist bastards are like doves with diarrhea leaving those buoys without stopping.

I usually put the Boston 10 miles left of the Providence and the Chigago at starboard 10 miles. I once had the luck of the buoys not detected the Providence. We found some Grishas and sent them to mars like yachts full of drunken whores. But for my unhappiness, one shameless Victor II licked the Providence's ass and liked the smell.

The scenery is good. But the USS Providence acts like a mule loaded of kitchen pans. At the fight time he is dizzy and noisy.

Just started playing this one. It is a great feature of Command that crippled units can be implemented. On my way creeping North. Just had an upleasant encounter with a Soviet sub, but could sink it.

Nicely created and a clever scenario. Not sure if I was just unlucky or if it is too difficult. A Krivak dodged 7 successive Mk 48's and sank my last escorting sub, the other had been hit by an MPA. looking at it in the editor there is a carpet of sonobuoys to be fair.
I think the only thing I spotted other than the difficulty were the reference points. Not sure what they are for, but I can move them?
