A couple of additional questions/observations:
1. Is it "normal" operating procedure for a group to disolve after delivering it's bomb/missle load?

2. I've noticed that I've had a couple of F14s go off on their own during the mission until I RTB'd them.

3. I'm assuming that the group orbiting the base is waiting for the remainder of the group to launch and form up.

4. After I assign assets to a specific mission in the editor, if I order the same aircraft to launch as a group, those aircraft become unassigned from that mission. Is this SOP? Afterlaunch I have to reassign them.

Thanks for the help.

# 1 - yes
# 2- was this an aaw patrol, if so was investigate contacts outside patrol area selected?
# 3 - if you click on the group the right info panel will say forming up. The message log will state when there ready.
#4 - when you launch a group of aircraft, go to mission editor and select that group to the mission before they take off
