Im Playing Achtung Panzer Operation Star right now. For such huge populated maps the thing runs pretty good, especially considering all that is going on.

I have 1-5 sandy bridge and an old card Geforce 570 superclocked. Using MSI Afterburner I can overclock the card and CPU. I have done so. When I look at the charts in MSI, it shows that I'm using 99% GPU even after I overclock it.

Is this normal?

Is it safe to do so?

My max temp is at 81c. What is too hot?

Looking at the slider to adjust memory overclocking I am at 75%. Should I be wary of going higher? Certainly dont want to burn anything up.

Thanks in advance

81c is hot mate. Really at max load you should be no more than 65c. I always have my fan on 100%..don't trust the PC to manage it.

Not sure what the percentage is of mate? Are you running underclocked??

Dang. Seems like for that game I'm usually running that hot. I stayed away from liquid cooled when I had the PC put together because I was afraid of an eventual leak but I did put in a Thermaltake frio over clocked capable push/pull cooler.

I need to check to see how dirty it all is. I certainly don't inspect it often enough.

It's a shame you are not supposed to vacuum in the case and on any of the parts. Seems like compressed air is a pain and has its own set of cautions. My case has a ton of fans. I went with a bulky full tower to get a lot of flow through.

I think you'll be surprised, Reb. I've cleaned a few PCs that looked that granny's attic stash. Those fans and heat sinks kick up a ton of dirt and it likes to smear itself all over the insides of your computer. I've actually had GPU fans shut down from excessive dust.
