Pool Romanian only, Germany only has 222,000 men in there pools!!!

This was the same issue we were having with Germany 2 million men in field and 1,000,000 in manpower pools.

Germany seems to be working ok, even Hungary and Finland. But something does not look right with Romanian.

In my PBEM game my opponent (I play Soviets) reported that Rumanian ARM pool is 0 for many turns and he has to merge units to maintain the rest operational. We are at turn 136 now.

Maybe all arms are spent on Cavalry Squads... the only item with heavy surplus in the pool.

365,000 in the field and 260,000 in manpower pools.

I have had almost all the Romanian units digging far to the west of the front other then 1 Army which might see a single combat per turn as they are the 3rd line of defence.

SO it is NOT COMBAT that is causing this massive pool.

This and rifle squad upgrade "wasting" a lot of arm.

Seriously, I have many good ideas that could help but I want to implement them for .13, not .12.

Yes the AI is a joke, it builds stuff that's not even used. I have 1000's and 1000's of planes in pools.

Its a HUGE waste of armaments, for yrs everyone thought SHC was over powered late war, when in fact it was armament issues caused by the ignorant AI and swapping bugs.

The other issue is hardly any games get to 44-45 as the snowball effect ( 1st 2 yrs after release ) of these issues causes GHC Army to melt away with or with out any combat going on.

Proof of that is my game vs Brian on turn 120 GHC OOB was at 3,630,000 on turn 125 3,150,000 turn 130 after most of bugs patched out 3,207,000
The bugs caused GHC OOB to simply disappear. You go back and read other AAR's and the very same issue happened, but I thk it MIGHT be 90% fixed

Games about balanced at this point other then a few hard to fix swapping bugs that are HUGE armament sinks.

I feel that I have to stop any games once they hit Mid 1943 at this point, until you get this completely fix.

I am putting my game with Brian on hold until this swapping armament sink is completely fixed.

But this may take some time... Unless in a stroke of genius I will fix this in one day (most probably won't happen)

ROM sets free a lot of manpower once it's able to replace the old 17-man rifle squad to the 42 type with just 9 or 10 but it usually takes looooooong due to lack of arm points.
But even with using "upgrade" imports from the older squads it takes ages to get this done. The high use of expensive cav squads does not help either.
Rather strange to see HUN and ROM that low on arm points, would have expected a little more and/or some arm points gifts from GER. But these gifts (as in SLO) may happen only for a nation without local arm production?

These arm numbers at 0 start back in 41/42 blizzard, which is why the 250k in pool for over a yr.

I guess Rumanian ARM production wasn't adjusted to compensate for higher than they should be production system needs. Some hard work with a calculator should reveal how many % of it's army each nation is capable of replacing each turn.

Way back, the Germans started with 500k ARM and gave the minors 10k per turn for at least 5 turns. This meant that the ARM shortage was not present when the production was set.

A partial work around is to set the Cav to 50% and be very careful with using them in combat and at front during the Blizzard.

while we are at it.

I upgraded around turn 125 to this latest 'official'. The 2nd to last mud before November snow.

Since then and for the first time I have been having HQ displacement issues when I get back the turns from Pelton.

See map below: That HQ with train is in deep Siberia!!

At first it caused 2 things: One: The HQ"S displaced and also unlocked and went to zero SU attachments commitment. but and Two: the Corp combat units sent their 3 attachments (or less) back to the parent Army HQ. Thus the parent HQ ended up with a huge number of SU's.
The first turn was the worst. About 50% unlocked and many hq's displaced. The unlocking lessoned to 2 hq's this last turn (turn 129ish but HQ were still displacing.

Obviously I have stopped creating units and use the points to refill attacking Corp.

Actually, not a bad strategy.
