[ADDED DB v441]

Royal Netherlands Air Force buying Sniper targeting pods

http://www.lockheedmartin.com/us/news/press-releases/2015/october/mfc-100515-the-netherlands-chooses-lockheed-martins-sniper.html

So I guess a 2016 F-16AM model that has duplicate loadouts with Snipers instead of Litening AT.

I'm pretty sure the current plan is to use both pods simultaneously so still keep the Litening ATs in there too.

Low priority as far as I'm concerned. (I dont need it for anything, just noticed the news)

Would the loadout for the E/A18 growler with the NGJ also include 2 AMRAAMs similar to current growler loadout?

[ADDED DB v441]

Again no priority for me, just something I noticed, but the Netherlands is getting two land based SMART-L EWC radars.

Static, immobile radar. Should be similar to what is on DBID 2521

Maybe should be better than 1990s tech though, being AESA, but not sure? In service (land based version) expected around 2018/19.

[FIXED DB v442]

#2816 - SKR Admiral Sergey Gorshkov [Pr.2235.0] in database have CADS-N-1 Kortik-M and #2883 - SKR Dagestan [Pr.1166.1K] CADS-N-1 [Palash] wich is basically copy paste of Kortik-M with radar and missiles
This is wrong thing, both of them have Palash, and Palash are nothing like Kortik-M

little history :
long time ago Soviet Navy want to improve AK-630 and in 1984 "Tulmashzavod" create AK-630M1-2 :
https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQC1eIMP-DGYE55SaovW1uXMD_Zo1VZyn6m_Ggm9AHHyppHC014

this proposal lost competition to CADS-N-1 Kortik

in 90s this thing return as AK-630M-2 Duet :

But this proposal have one big problem, underdeck space for AK-630M-2 almost twice as big as for AK-630

So Russian Navy order a 2x6 30-mm gun system without underdeck space for magazine needed , all munitions in one module with guns
KBTM take this task , they take Kortik module and remove everything except guns, instead of radars and electronic they place ammo for guns
(1500 rounds) also they add TV/IR search-targeting station and 3M89 "Palma" is ready :

there is no underdeck magazines, no loading systems for missiles, nothing , pure artillery system.

Then Vietnam came in this story. Vietnam Navy want to buy 1166.1 , when they see 3M89 "Palma" and hear that this is only gun system they ask to add missiles on "Palma"
But there is no underdeck magazines and no loading system so this "Palma with missiles" ("Palash") can only be reloaded manually
Due to manually reload and lack of radars "Palash" cant use missiles of Kortik-M (9M311-1 ,weight 60kg, radiocommand guided) , instead KBTM use Sosna-RA missile (9M337 ,weight 42kg,laser beam riding missile)
after this changes Russian Navy also buy Palash modules

characteristics for 3M89 Palash
Palash guns and missiles:
http://kbtochmash.com/defence-products/products-en/products-en_2.html
Palash sensors:
http://kbtochmash.com/defence-products/products-en/products-en_1.html

it is easy to see where is Palma and where is Palash , just look at automatic optronic control system (AOCS)
Palma (two variants):

http://cdn.topwar.ru/uploads/posts/2012-01/1326860534_zvhe01.jpg
Palash :

http://www.balancer.ru/sites/p/i/pics.livejournal.com/prokhor_tebin/pic/0003aste/s640x480.jpg

so, can you please remove CADS-N-1 Kortik(and copy past of Kortik under name CADS-N-1 [Palma] on 1166.1) and add Palash to 22350,Vietnam and Russian 1166.1
also keep in mind, that Palash dont have magazines and reloaded manually

Very interesting, thanks Triode (btw in the maker site both variants are erroneously named Palma, with and without missiles, and not Palma and Palash).

ORIGINAL: Rongor[UPDATED DB v441][NOTE! SS-N-25 FIT SEEMS CORRECT ON ORIGINAL PLATFORM. ARE YOU USING DB v440?]

Sorry for replying that late. I linked the original post in the quoted text above.

Regarding the DB I do in fact have v439 since I am hanging behind the Steam provided updates (current CMANO being 1.08 Final Build 678.18).

Considering the platform I was referring to russianships.info which shows that only the second 11661K (Dagestan) has received the UKSK. From the way it is listed in the armament section I interpreted it as a replacement for the SS-N-25 (only on Dagestan) but I admit it could be justified to discuss that.

You are totally right that the type ship (Tatarstan) of DB ID 584 SKR Gepard, Pr.11661K bears the SS-N-25 correctly.
So it would probably best to leave it as it is and offer the possibility to add the USKS mount in the weapons list by the player for Dagestan.

Thanks for looking into this!

[ADDED/UPDATED DB v442]

I just noticed that the Danish don't have their 9x MH-60R while creating a scenario with Denmark. The first one got delivered recently. Not a high priority thing, but would add some neat capability to the Danish.

"The Royal Danish Navy announced its acquisition of nine MH-60R in December 2012. The program, valued at $686 million, was the first European foreign military sale for Team Seahawk. The Danish aircraft are configured for search and rescue or anti-surface warfare operations, including defending Danish interests in the North Atlantic, executing anti-piracy operations, and conducting other missions during international deployments. All nine aircraft will be delivered to the Danish government by 2018." - MH-60 official website.

That sounds to me like they will be using Hellfires for anti-surface operations, but i'll leave that up to you guys.

Designation corrections for Sweden.
  • C (numbers here) Aviocar should be SH 89, the designation is as a comment in-game but shouldn't it be at the start of the name so u can easily spot it as a maritime recon next to the SH 37?
  • Dash 8-300 MPRA has the designation KBV 501. (KustBeVakning, Coast Guard). The three planes are designated KBV 501, 502 and 503 respectivly.
  • RQ-7B Shadow 200 also has its designation UAV 03 Örnen, but its in a comment. Would be nice if it could get its designation.
  • Sperwer UAV should have the designation UAV 01 Ugglan.

It thinks im spamming phone numbers again. Cheers, Skjold.

There is nothing confusing , if we look at development of situation

    here is pure Palma:

    http://navsource.narod.ru/photos/09/273/09273006.jpg

"Vietnam want missiles on Plama? Not a problem, we add Sosna-R and laser channel for guidance, should totally works!" :

"Missiles miss the targets? We need laser rangefinder(transmitter and reciver) ? Ok lets see if we can also guide missile with this laser" :

"Still not working? We need separate laser for guidance ? GRRRRR , ok total redesign of Automatic optronic control system (AOCS)" :

"Finally success ! Missile hit the target, guns working fine. Lets sell this thing , and for unifications lets sell Palma and Palash with unified AOCS , we can say to buyers of Palma ,if in future you have more money and want upgrade your ships you dont need new modules, just buy our missiles and install on Palma to turn it into Palash, best marketing evar!"

so, there is nothing confusing, just different stages of development

I've been watching way too much anime...those first two Palma and Palash things look like something from a mecha series. Or maybe something from Dr. Who.

I don't know if that's relative to DB3000, but I wonder how those derivate of duel AK-630s, both legacy and modernized, could compare to the Chinese 11-barrels beast?

Only two were the same are 30mm calibers, and 10000 rounds per minute. The rest would surely be different, only by how?

The picture of H/P-J 14 is here:

    Weapon request, Low priority

    Source:http://www.au.af.mil/au/afri/aspj/digital/pdf/articles/2015-Mar-Apr/V-Pietrucha.pdf

    Designation: GBU-62B(V-1)/B Quickstrike-ER
Type: Extended Range Air-launched Naval mine, Based off Mk62 Quickstrike
    Platforms: B-52, F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, B-1B Lancer, P-3C
    Range: 40 nm
Loadouts: Same as Mk.62 loadouts for the designated aircraft

If anybody has the IOC date that would be fantastic, because I can't find it

"The short range of the JDAM provides little standoff, but the addition
of a wing kit corrects that deficiency. The GBU-62B(V-1)/B QuickstrikeER
is Pacific Air Forces’ nomenclature for an Mk-62 Quickstrike configured
with a BSU-104 JDAM-ER wing and the GBU-38’s guidance kit.
The range of the system is in excess of 40 nm when launched from
    35,000 feet.

These kits, applied to the Mk-62 Quickstrike, allow both precision
delivery and “one-pass” standoff mine laying from either medium or
high altitude.18 A bomber aircraft with a full load of guided Quickstrike-ERs
can lay an effective minefield with a single release sequence.
Mines with guidance kits can be laid in an unpredictable pattern, making
mine clearance that much more difficult; furthermore, they can be
tailored to the characteristics of specific waterways.

The implications for the Quickstrike-ER (fig. 2) go beyond precision,
allowing aircraft to emplace mines from range. Today, only F-18, P-3,
B-1, and B-52 crews train for mining. JDAM training, on the other
hand, is ubiquitous. There is no practical difference between JDAM
employment against a fixed ground target or a fixed location under
shallow water; no additional training for basic mine laying is required."

    Hello

The Swedish helicopter #2348 - Hkp14F [NH90 NFH] has a very powerful dipping sonar in DB 440, the range is 80 nm, I think this is a typo since The french version only has 8 nm.

I see that the HMS Astute has been fixed to show that it only has one reactor.

The US SEAWOLF class though, still shows 2 reactors. It only has on S6W reactor. That includes the JIMMY CARTER as well.

    The class consists of:
    SSN21 SEAWOLF
    SSN22 CONNECTICUT
SSN23 JIMMY CARTER (modified - special ops sub with extra MMP module spliced into the middle hull section)

As most modern combat in the current geopolitical climate takes place against between or against rebel forces, i would like to expand on the generic rebel stuff. They already have a Technical and Inf Platoon and some other generic stuff but i would like some more.

I would like to add this:

Mortar Plt (Generic 81 mm and Generic 120 mm)
The only mortar platoons in the game at the moment is operated by Sweden but mortars are the most commonly used artillery piece by rebel forces as they are cheap, easy to operate and easy to move.
    Generic stats would do.

    Armed Technical with ZU-23-2
Basicly a flatbed truck with an anti-air gun in the back.

Since I have a few minutes....Presumably the ME just refers to the Export variant of the M?
Can't find any photos of an operational SMT aircraft with radar dome open to prove this though.

"The aircraft is installed with a multifunctional, multi-mode, lightweight pulse doppler airborne radar Zhuk-ME, which was developed by Phazotron-NIIR."
    http://www.airforce-technology.com/projects/mig-29smt-fulcrum-multirole-fighter-aircraft/

"The weapon control system of the MiG-29SMT aircraft is built around the ZHUK-ME advanced multimode radar developed by the PHASOTRON-NIIR Moscow-based company."
    http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/russia/mig-29smt.htm

"As such, the new MiG-29SMT will be fitted with a multifunction, multimode Zhuk-ME radar with air/air and ....."

http://toad-design.com/migalley/index.php/jet-aircraft/mig29/mig29-zhuk-radar/ for some photos and an English sales brochure.

Thanks for getting back to me, please let me know if you stumble upon something else

Well I was stirred by nico71's doubts regarding the Kalibr/Klub question, which lead me to look up again on which sources I based my former posts to that cruise missile system. Frankly this brought back some confusion and I don't think I can uphold or prove that "Kalibr" is the name only for the ship launched land attack variant. In fact I see all SS-N-27 and SS-N-30 in the russian arsenal being Kalibrs.

Reviewing everything I think the most probable and reasonable situation is as described in this blog article Kalibr vs Klub: There's a Difference by 7FBTK. Additionally a look at the russian wikipedia (despite I know we don't really wanna see wikipedia as a real reliable resource here) article Калибр (крылатые ракеты) might be worth it.

Summarized I think (but can't prove) that this is the situation:

    3M54 (SS-N-27 Sizzler) Anti-ship
    3M14 (SS-N-30) Land attack
are both legit members of the Kalibr designation.
Export versions of these are sold as Klub.

One can only imagine that the confusion and the dominance of the use of the name Klub may connect to the fact that the parameters of the Klub complex are somewhat known, since the Klub is sold on the export market and therefore some advertising facts will have been disclosed, opposing to the still rather secret Kalibr characteristics. So it may occur that reports mentioning in fact the Kalibr present data of the Klub due to the lack of knowledge about the original weapon.

    [UPDATED DB v442]

in database #2411 - MRK Buyan Mod [Pr.21631] have Half Hat [MP-405] and Wine Glass [MP-407] sustems ,
this is wrong should have TK-25 system :

also can you please add project 1164 Ustinov midlife upgrade in database?

as you can see ELINT and OECM&DECM changed to TK-28 system
instead of MR-800 and "Fregat" radars installed :
    "Podberezovik-ET1"
    http://smp-salyut.ru/pdf/podber1.pdf

    and "Fregat-M2EM"
    http://smp-salyut.ru/pdf/m2em.pdf

also according to annual report of"Granit-Electron":
    http://www.e-disclosure.ru/portal/FileLoad.ashx?Fileid=1106227 in russian
"Osa-MA" modernized on base of "OSA-AKM1" (basically "Osa-AKM" modernized with "Tor-M2U" electronics, main goal of modernization reduce reaction time of system)

also about #2890 - MPK Vasil Bykov [Pr.22160]

This ship classification not MPK but Patrol Ship
this ship should have A-220M instead of AK-176MA :
    http://www.severnoe.com/en/offers/warships/22160/
    57-mm max range 12 km , max height 8 km,rate of fire 300 rpm, 400 53-UOF-281U (HE) ,53-UBR-281U (AP) or 53-UOR-281U (HE-Frag-Tracer shell) shells,
also there is "dreams" about guided ammo with range 8 km :

    info aout gun:
    http://www.burevestnik.com/products_engl/1.html

also there is no MGK-335EM-03 Zarya-3 on this ship , but ship can take up to two "modules" in 40-feet containers
    http://s6.uploads.ru/izVwP.jpg
    http://s3.uploads.ru/rCJYA.jpg
    http://s3.uploads.ru/uZxJl.jpg

first module is Kalibr-K (aka "container Kalibr")

in one container can be 4x 3M54 AShM , 4x 3M14 land atack missile or 4x 91RT antisubmarine missile

second module is containerized version of Vinietka-EM
    http://www.oceanpribor.ru/text/18.htm characteristics in russian

third is anti-mine modules with "Livadia" and "Maevka"

Kalibr-K modules exist now(except variant with 4x 91RT antisubmarine missile, this missile only rescently enter "testing from ships" stage)
Vinietka-EM "container version" does not exist (currently in development stage)
Anti-Mine modules currently very theoretical thing (nobody pay for this for now)

and just for fun Su-25SM testing KAB-500S GLONASS guided bomb

    Surveillance sensors and SAR equipment
“The Dash8 Q300 MSA´s primary sensor for long range, large area surveillance and detection is the Elta EL/M – 2022 (V) 3 maritime search radar. The antenna is installed in a randome underneath the center of the fuselage, thus giving the radar a full and unobstructed 360°field of view. Thimynd5_ASs radar is capable of detecting small targets in rough seas as well as larger targets at ranges up to the radar horizon when the aircraft flies at its maximum operating altitude of 25,000 ft. To facilitate closer inspection of targets the MSA is equipped with Wescam MX-15 which provides stabilized day and night imagery. It also allows the operator to read ship names in very low light conditions. The aircraft will also be quickly detect and map any pollution at sea. The aircraft is equipped with a large rear cargo door which can be opened in flight for dropping of life rafts and other survival equipment.” --http://www.lhg.is/english/icg/about-us/air-assets/tfsif/

“The sole Landhelgisgæslan plane (TF-SIF) uses the same sensor suite as on Sweden's Q300s – an EL/M-2022(V)3 search radar, [7] a SSC/Saab SLAR, a Wescam MX-15 EO/IR turret, and an Argon AA 3503 line scanner, all under a Mission Management System by L-3/IS. The Icelandic Q300 also features the Field air-openable rear door with chutes for air-dropping flares and SAR survival packs.” --http://www.casr.ca/ai-dash8-q300-special-mission-patrol.htm

    Thanks for considering these!

    SF.260W
    Operational dates: 1988-present

Updated our list to this point. We're on break for awhile from DB stuff to focus on the application itself.

    Thanks!
