Any news on the possible transition to the 2021 version for the sentinel-2 map? Thanks again!

<summary>MD-530F Cayuse Warrior Afghanistan - April 2015 -(out of service 2021?)</summary>

<detail>MD-530F Cayuse Warrior (Little Bird Lite) helicopters were supplied to the Afghan air force in some numbers (60+) from April 2015.
Armament was limited to FN 2 x HMP-400 12.7mm gun pods or twin 7 rocket Hydra pods.
Electronics and EW systems appear very limited although it may have had NVG compatibility it does not appear to have been used.
Basic air frame is a straight lift of DB3k entry #1593 - AH-6M Little Bird MELB [MD-530F] (United States - 0) but lacking optronic systems, guided weapons and EO turret.</detail>
Numbers still in service are conjecture post Taliban but are likely to be small and decreasing, plus some may be amalgamated into the air arms of the countries to which the air force relocated, significant numbers went to Uzbekistan.

https://www.mdhelicopters.com/afghan-air-force-to-expand-fleet-of-md-530f-cayuse-warrior-helicopters.html Seems only supporting HMP-400 AND Hydra.
https://www.maceaviation.com/case-studies
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McDonnell_Douglas_MD_500_Defender

According to Colonel Qalandari, Afghan Air Force pilot, “It’s unsafe to fly, the engine is too weak, the tail rotor is defective and it’s not armored. If we go down after the enemy we’re going to have enemy return fire, which we can’t survive. If we go up higher, we can’t visually target the enemy".[21]
https://thediplomat.com/2015/09/afghanistans-newest-attack-helicopter-a-total-mess/
Indeed, the helicopters lack proper gun sights for their two .50 caliber machine guns, as I was able to personally witness during a battle that I describe in detail in this month’s The Diplomat Magazine. The helicopters periodically appeared in the sky over contested mountains, but had difficulties locating and attacking ISIS positions with their weapons.

<summary>Add US Army Sentinel A4 Missile Defense Radar</summary>
<detail>

The Sentinel A4 radars will enable military operators to detect cruise missiles, UAVs, rotary- and fixed-wing aircraft, rockets, artillery and mortar threats in contested environments.

Sentinel A4 is a high-performance modification of the AN/MPQ-64A3 Sentinel A3 air and missile defence radar.

A3 a mobile 3D phased-array radar, operating in the X-band frequency, used to alert SHORAD weapons about hostile airborne targets and queue up their shots.

According to Shephard Defence Insight, the A4 is expected to improve on the A3's performance by 75%, triple its search capabilities, double the radar’s tracking accuracy and increase its range and elevation performance.

<summary>Add "Rapid Dragon" loadout for USAF C-17 and MC-130J</summary>
<detail>

At its core, the Rapid Dragon concept centers on the idea of using airlifters as weapons trucks to provide additional stand-off strike capacity, especially during potential higher-end operations against near-peer competitors, such as China or Russia. This would also offer a lower-cost means of providing this added capability, especially compared to buying, operating, and maintaining larger fleets of traditional bombers.

From what is seen in the videos describing the system, an MC-130J could carry 2x6 JASSM-ER missiles and a C-17 up to 3x9 missiles.

Other munitions, drones or decoys could be added in the future such as MALD-J, JDAM-ER, etc.

<summary>Taigei-Class Submarine SS-513 For The JMSDF (2022) </summary>
<detail>

The first submarine of the class, Taigei (meaning “Great Whale”) was launched by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) shipyard in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture in October 2020. Taigei is scheduled to be commissioned into the JMSDF in March 2022

The external appearance of Taigei-class submarines is not much different from the Sōryū-class, but inside of it is a completely different submarine. First, the Taigei-class uses lithium-ion batteries instead of the 4V-275R Mk. III AIP system, which was installed aboard the first 10 Sōryū-class submarines.

Secondly, the capabilities of the sonar and combat command system have been improved, as well as the use of new acoustic absorbent materials and a floating floor structure to make it quieter. It is also equipped with Torpedo Counter Measures (TCM), which ejects decoys to evade enemy torpedoes for improved survivability.

Standard Displacement: about 3000 tons
Length: 84 meters
Total width: 9.1 meters
Crew: about 70
Propulsion: Diesel Electric Propulsion (with lithium-ion batteries)

According to this photo which has been taken from Janes Land-based air defense:

the R.460 Missile which is used in Shahine SAM, it's a maximum speed is 2.8 Mach and a combustion period of 4.5 sec. and the schedule is showing the maneuverability performance of the missile.

Also, Shahine use the TV system as a backup mode for the target and missile tracking. The shahine has IVPDL which allows a battery to cover more area with greater distance between battery components.

a VT-1 missile data is also provided, its maximum speed is 3.6 Mach

<type>UPDATE</type>
<summary>A-330 MRTT is a Multi Role Tanker and Transport, should have alternative load outs in addition to the tanker.</summary>
<detail>
The UK DB entry for the Voyager #4276 - Voyager KC.3/2 [Airbus A.330-200 MRTT] (United Kingdom) already has the transport load out for cargo and passengers so it could be as straightforward as adding this load out to all the A.330 entries?.

All the A330 MRTT entries have the tanker load out #25664.

The A330 MRTT is capable of carrying cargo and passengers, up to a maximum payload of up to 45 tonnes, or 300 passengers or a mix of 100 passengers and 37 tonnes of cargo etc in addition to or instead of fuel.

Please add load out #21912 -Passengers, 291x, 28.3 tons, Cargo, 10 tons (Cargo Transport) to the A.330 MRTT entries.

Request also consider the following load outs are added to all the A.330 MRTT entries.
1. 1 x Cargo [No Drop, 45 tons]
2. 1 x Cargo [No Drop, 37 tons] 100 x Passenger
3. 300 x Passenger [30 tons]
4. Medevac

Ready time is speculation as the initial configuration change from Tanker to transport will clearly take longer than simply refuelling and preparing for the same mission, but its 4 hrs for the UK entry?:
Units affected:
#5181 - Airbus A.330-200 MRTT (Canada - 2029)
#5251 - Airbus A.330-200 MRTT (India - 2022)
#2935 - Airbus A.330-200 MRTT (Saudi Arabia - 2013)
#4513 - Airbus A.330-200 MRTT (South Korea - 2019)
#5084 - Airbus A.330-200 MRTT (Turkey - 2021)
#4605 - Airbus A.330-200 MRTT (UAE - 2014)
#1827 - Airbus A.330-200 MRTT [KC-30A] (Australia - 2012)
#4708 - Airbus A.330-200 MRTT [MFF] (NATO - 2019)
#3888 - Airbus A.330-200 MRTT [Phenix] (France - 2018)
#4861 - Airbus A.330-200 MRTT [Phoenix] (Singapore - 2018)

The following already have alternative #21912 load out:
#1850 - Voyager KC.2 [Airbus A.330-200 MRTT] (United Kingdom - 2012)
#4276 - Voyager KC.3 [Airbus A.330-200 MRTT] (United Kingdom - 2014)

The fact that the DB already has an A.330 with alternate loads plus.

<summary>Merlin in UK service is capable of CSAR/SAR please add appropriate loadout.</summary>
<detail>AW.101 Merlin variants in UK Royal Navy / former Royal Air Force service both train for and have side winches capable of being used for search and rescue.
They are also trained for CSAR missions in addition to the ASW role even if this is secondary.

Request SAR and CSAR load out is added to the following ASW and transport variants of UK Merlin: Even if the ASW HM.1 etc variants are only likely to be used for CSAR in an emergency:
#45 - Merlin HM.1 (United Kingdom - 2000)
#1077 - Merlin HM.1 (United Kingdom - 2006)
#4279 - Merlin HM.1 (United Kingdom - 2009)
#4278 - Merlin HM.1 (United Kingdom - 2009)
#3336 - Merlin HM.2 (United Kingdom - 2014)
#595 - Merlin HC.3 (United Kingdom - 2002)
#4272 - Merlin HC.3 (United Kingdom - 2015)
#4274 - Merlin HC.3A (United Kingdom - 2008)* possibly SAR only as the former Danish aircraft are supposedly only for training.
#4273 - Merlin HC.4 (United Kingdom - 2018)

The following load outs are already in the DB for other nations Merlin variants:
#29538 SAR
#26317 SAR
#8226 SAR Cormorant
#22580 CSAR
#26318 CSAR

<evidence>
"Beyond searching for submarines the helicopter is capable of much more, including round-the-clock maritime patrol and interdiction – armed with Sting-Ray Torpedoes, Mk11 Depth Charges and the M3m .50 Calibre Machine Gun; troop ferrying, casualty evacuation, medium lift under-slung loads, Search and Rescue, and other contingency tasks."

https://www.royalnavy.mod.uk/the-equipment/aircraft/helicopters/merlin-mk4 -- Image clearly shows side mounted winch over starboard door.
</evidence>

Thanks for considering, as it stands the UK entries have no current helicopter with a SAR or CSAR load out.

For a carrier based fleet this is a bit of a capability gap.

Images of Gabriel V look very much like Blue Spear for the Estonian Navy and very much like Sea Serpent proposed for the UK Royal Navy.
Details may differ by variant but Blue Spear (Aka Gabriel V+) is quoted as having a range of 290km.
Plus the article about the UK RN interim ASM puts Sea Serpent as a candidate amongst competeting weapons that are all in the 200km range ball park.
"Estonia Selects Blue Spear Anti-Ship Missile for Coastal Batteries - Naval News" https://www.navalnews.com/naval-news/2021/10/estonia-selects-blue-spear-anti-ship-missile-for-coastal-batteries/

Could you please fix Gabriel V anti-surface missile. Range is too low. This missile is supposed to replace older Rb 15M Mk3 for Finnish Navy (#20) and even older missile have 200+ km range (or at least 100 km). Several Finnish navy sources say that new missile have LONGER range than older Rb 15M Mk3 missile.

<type>Correction/Update</type>
<summary> #3648 - Gabriel V Range is too short </summary>
<detail> Several sources estimates range for this weapon 150-200 km. Current range in CMO is only 28 nm (51 km). Probably real range is even much longer, this missile uses jet engine and is more like a cruise missile.
</detail>

Official Finnish Navy website
Range (fin. kantama): More than 200 km

Range 200 km / 120 mi

https://www.edrmagazine.eu/finnish-navy-unveils-first-details-of-its-future-gabriel-v-anti-ship-missile

According to information and renderings released by the Finnish Navy on 13 December, the missile airframe resembles the Boeing Harpoon configuration with a rear underbelly fixed air intake with middle-airframe and rear foldable fins, together with smaller fixed rear fins. With a 5.5 meters length and a 1,250 kg weight, according to released information, the Gabriel V features a turbojet engine allowing subsonic speed and fuel tanks providing a range in excess of 200 km

https://www.navalnews.com/naval-news/2019/12/finnish-navy-lifts-veil-on-its-future-anti-ship-missile-the-gabriel-v/

https://corporalfrisk.com/2018/07/16/a-further-look-at-the-gabriel-5/
One interesting point that stands out in the cutaway, however, is the internal component layout compared to the non-ER versions of the Harpoon. Crucially, the warhead occupies more or less exactly the same space as the 500 lbs (227 kg) warhead of the Harpoon. If the cutaway is correct, this would indicate that Finland has decided against downsizing the warhead compared to the current MTO 85M. The size of the fuel tank would also likely indicate a range in the 150 km class rather than the 200+ km ranges of the RBS 15 Gungnir, NSM, and Harpoon Block II+ ER. Crucially, as 150 km is more than “about 100 km“, this does not contradict that the PTO 2020 has longer range than the MTO 85M, one of the few capability details revealed by the Finnish authorities (this being confirmed by captain Valkamo).

Gabriel V has been requested for amendment previously but the links and logic are still valid.
Just to add my tuppence worth.

I took the liberty of attaching a link ref Gabriel V.
The fact it won in competitions against big hitters like the NSM and RBS-15 Mk3 both of which are 200km class weapons with land attack potential is a good indicator that Gabriel V is in the same ballpark.

Thank you for adding the #3186 Gabriel V for the Finnish Hamina-class FAC. There seems however to be some wrong info on both the loadout (which seems to be a direct copy of the Israeli Sa'ar 72).

The loadout should, according to open sources, be:

Sensors/EW
1 x Kongsberg ST2400 VDS
1 x CEROS 200 Tracker (9LV CMS Mk.4), like on the RCN Halifax-class #1898
1 x TRS-3D Baseline D

-4 x Gabriel V (which also should have 200+ NM (More likely 200km?)range, not 28 NM, even if there is not very much open source info about that)
https://www.navalnews.com/naval-news/2019/12/finnish-navy-lifts-veil-on-its-future-anti-ship-missile-the-gabriel-v
-BAe Bofors 40 mm Mk 4 with 3P-ammo
-2 x Tp451 (#1595), to be upgraded to the SAAB Lightweight Torpedo (Tp 47) by 2023
-8 x Umkhonto Mk.2 (#2770)
-SAAB Trackfire RWS with 40 mm HK GMG
-2 x 12,7/50 MG
-2 x MASS

Not allowed to post links, but add world wide web at the start:
navalnews. com/naval-news/2019/12/finnish-navy-lifts-veil-on-its-future-anti-ship-missile-the-gabriel-v/

Gabriel V 200+ km you know it makes sense.

<type>ADD</type>
<summary>Add new Enduring Shield SAM (IFPC) for the US Army</summary>
<detail>

The transportable system is designed to engage and defeat Cruise Missile (CM) and Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) threats.

The first battery of prototype launchers — which includes 12 launchers — will be available by the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2023

Army's plan with #IFPC is to rapidly field an A-IAMD integrated launcher/interceptor that is capable of providing 360° point defense against a saturated Group 3+UAS, and CM threat. Each battery will be equipped with at least 60 ready to launch missiles and a Sentinel A3 radar.

Dynetics selected the AIM-9X effector and environmentally sealed All-Up Round Magazine (AUR-M) provided by Raytheon Missiles & Defense, a Raytheon Technologies business. The AIM-9X features the most advanced IR seeker in use today, providing warfighters a highly effective solution to track and intercept hard to detect, fast moving cruise missiles. The missile has previously demonstrated successful integration and engagements with the U.S. Army's IBCS, supporting the accelerated prototyping phase that the U.S. Army has requested.

Probably 4 launchers per battery with 15 missile/cells per launcher and a Sentinel A3 radar. IBCS compatible.

<summary>The old UTAP 22 Mako entry (not the new skyborg entry from the latest update) has a loadout with 8 SDB2. Should reduce this number to either 2 or 4</summary>
<detail>
UTAP 22 entry #4775 has a strike loadout of 8 SDB.
According to datasheet from Kratos defense, it has an internal payload capacity of 350lb, wingtip capacity of 100lb per side, and external capacity of 500lb.
https://www.kratosdefense.com/-/media/k/pdf/usd/utap-22.pdf

There seem to be are two ways to interpret the numbers. 1. The external capacity as the capacity of carrying weapons internally and externally combined. Thus 500lb would be the maximum capacity. This may make sense as this number is very close to the internal capacity (300lb) + 2 x wingtip capacity (100lb) and very close to the 260kg max payload listed currently in the CMO database.
https://www.militaryfactory.com/aircraft/detail.php?aircraft_id=1754

2. The max capacity is the sum of all three numbers, which would be 1050lb (500+100x2+350). This also makes sense as it has a max takeoff weight of 2000lb and a dry weight of 650lb.
https://www.airforce-technology.com/projects/mako-unmanned-tactical-aerial-platform-22-utap22/

But either way, it cannot carry 8 SDB2 at around 1640lb. It should carry either 4 (around 820lb) or 2 (around 410lb) depending on how to interpret the payload capacity.

Query? A genuine question not a criticism.
Plus I ask because I wanted to use the aircraft in a half written Nigerian/UK scenario.

Has there been a decision to move to generic entries for some aircraft entries?
Recent Master updates for DB491 for Nigeria and Turkmenistan are using identical load outs which do not appear to be based on any nation specific evidence?

#5358 - M.346FA Master (Turkmenistan - 2021)
#5262 - M.346FA Master (Nigeria - 2021)

The FT trainer has an equally impressive list of advanced expensive load outs.
#5359 - M.346FT Master (Turkmenistan - 2021)

Load outs for
Brimstone - (not actually made any more from a perspective of DB versions as the production variant now is essentially Brimstone 2 (but just confusingly labelled as Brimstone by the manufacturer)?)
both AIM-9 and IRIS-T ?
AIM-9L - is an old missile and made by who in the 21st century?
IRIS-T - European manufacturer selling to states with issues over human rights?
Snakeeye -
SNEB 68mm rockets? But no Hydra or CRV-7?
GBU-32/38/49/12/16
SPICE-250 Lizard TEBER etc

Just seems a bit incongruous given the previous efforts to keep it nation/state specific?

Thanks
K
