So maybe im just confused but how do i actually update the game data with the unified planes mod?

Art is easy I just replace the art but how do i actually overwrite/import the Axis/Allied data files into a scenario.

I downloaded the Mod enabler and put the files in the MODS file like it said to and nothing still shows up in the files boxes to export.

Typically u can just overwrite the old files but after looking through all the files in the WITP AE folder I cant find any files I would overwrite to replace with these so im guessing there is a step im missing.

chaos45, I believe that Ryan Crierie's unified planes mod only has artwork, not the data for the individual planes he added.

It has two other files that appear to be all of teh plane statistics and his website shows the actual stats....just trying to figure out how to load them in the game

Maybe i was mistaken and it is just art...thought the other 2 files were the modded stats to go along with the art.

Blah will take a ton of research to fill in all those lol

You would be safe with any of Andy Macs scenarios, I play DaBabes as the Allies against the Japaneses AI. I believe that most of the rest will work but you may need to read the scenario threads to find out.

I just loaded and started a game. Unfortunately I noticed that the Jap city of Mukden hex 104/42 has a garrison requirement of 2000!!!! I think it is supposed to be 200. I'm using DBB scenario 28, stacking limits and extended map, v 15..... is this a typo needing to be fixed?

So I'm on turn 52 of a plain-Jane Beta game v. AI. I keep reading about DaBabes scenarios and how everyone seems to love them. I've been playing this game for about a month and as it's still January 1942, wondering if I should switch over to DaBabes scenario and if my saved game would load in that? I'd hate to lose a month, especially as my strategy I've been trying out w/Cruisers and DDs is working well.

Any advice?

As far as I know, you cannot switch your current game to a different mod. You'll need to start a new game.

Continuing the current updates, this one is focused on integrating Japanese air groups with
ships and classes. There may be other eratta related to aircraft, locations or devices, but they
are only included for safety - I don't remember any.

Most changes are related to the strictly historical files. Both new data and years of unreviewed
file changes have caused eratta in them. For the first time there is a better system for ships
that convert from gunships to carriers in terms of air groups. Having evolved this for semi-carriers
and for conversions from seaplane tenders to CVLs (and similar), this time the system is extended
to Shinano. For the first time we have complete historical data on her air group - so the ship
gets an air group smaller than her capacity - but can take more squadrons if available.

One major documentation change to Japanese Carrier Logic. This is being expanded greatly to
include all carriers in all forms. Slot numbers are added and the file is being organized in ship
slot order. Class is also added. If a ship is built to a different class in a different scenario, you
will find her listed twice - once for each possibility. Formerly we only listed ships not starting the
game - but it is more useful to list them all.
