My opponent have 10 factories research (size 30 each)for Georges. And he managed to start producing George in Dec 1942! 7 months earlier!

Now I have to fight Georges with Mainly P40E and P40K......

Yep ... very possible with either realistic R&D ON or OFF. Still it cost him 300 000 supplies to get them repaired. So well done to him.

I guess you are using the Strategic bombing interface to spy on him ... Another reason to change this!!! Total 100% spying efficiency needs to be fixed! Unless the Allies are within flyover range and are making recon.

Pretty easy to spot a foreigner in Japan

Oh well I've given you a way to spy ... yeah very possible and I believe I can do it better

Maybe (frank), but it's a big outlay in production. I'd be all over it though

I've talked about changing the R&D model - but I doubt it will occur.

If I remember it correctly, in WITP the later generation of planes can be accelerate for a couple of months, which is OK.
But a 7/43 plane is accelerated to 12/43 is to much. This gives Japan another half year of complete domination of SEA, AIR and LAND.

Sorry to disagree, the algorithm is basically the same as witp. In witp I can do the same thing. I've had models in witp at a year early.There was also an exploit in witp where I could manipulate it much higher too.

In AE you also have the upgrade path(not used for the george or frank though) to do even more with some CV fighters for instance... but they are rubbish anyway.

It is just one plane...I feel you are overestimating it and not thinking beyond the here and now. Adapt and overcome. If you're not fighting back by the end of '42 - then what are you waiting for?

Anyway, even if in WITP you got them 1 year early it is bogus for them to be accelerated so much...

I am sure AFBS would like hellcats and corsairs 6 months early....Or at least be able to mass amounts of P-38s in the air from 5/42.......

sollution: historical engine type arrival dates (Ha-45 supposed to arrive in late 1943)

japanese player has lots of hindsight and knows exactly what design is good and what design is bad...
would be more realistic to allow the player to re-configure existing designs

this is my take on the Ki-45, take out most of the fuel and take out the ridiculous 37mm
now you have a westland whirlwind type destroyer fighter

Yes, and as a guy who plays predominately as the Axis - I agree and have lobbied for a reworking of realistic R&D.

Under the current system though it isn't bogus, it is artful planning and use of valuable supply to make it happen. It is a trade off.

If you want to talk bogus - I can give you a list of Allied abilities that would really turn heads

I have used a HR
1942 = 1 month max acc
1943 = 2 month max acc
1944 = 3 month max acc
1945 = 4 month max acc
1946 = 5 month max acc

Yeah, a lot of supply. Means he didn't do a lot of other things to get the George, which is a land based fighter and only for IJN. Useful? Sure. Game winner? No way. He doesn't have enough units to put it in unless he has already lost the KB. Did he help his '43 defense? Yep, but likely it cost him some of his '42 offense.

When you have the time I'd love to chit chat with you privately on this as I have a few of my own and was banging my head trying to think of more.

As a long time allied player smitten with the production system I agree with this completely.

Late 43 anyways. Frank and George are good planes but don't panic. They are saddled with a miserable 3 service rating so the have their flaws. My experience is that the hellcat is more than a match for the George, so use your hellcats. The hellcat suffers a bit when fighting the Frank, but every other Allied 2nd generation fighter, (corsair, lightning, thunderbolt and spit is as good if not better). My personal belief in AE is that speed is the best feature a plane can have and all but the Spit are much faster than the Frank. If you do not have a HR limiting altitude then just sweep his franks at maximum altitude. You will kill plenty.

The real issue is that you will be facing hordes of these planes. Your planes are better but there are so many of these bastards flying around that it makes it hard for you. But you should be able to deal with it. Remember, the best place to kill a service rating 3 aircraft is on the ground, where they will be a lot of the time.
