Take antacids like Nimitz and company had to do. They couldn't micromanage their fleets either.

try using "retirement allowed" and "commander's discression" If your really paranoid.....use TF leaders with lower aggressive ratings.

Suggest replaying turn when NOT doing booze or drugs..or both.

OTOH, I have found that former helps my typing remarkably....

Yeah! If you can't live with two day turns.., DON'T PLAY WITH THEM! Whining about it after the fact is silly. Why did you agree to it in the first place? Is this the only opponant you can find?

You are CC you should not be able to micro manage - is thare any reasonable argument to say otherwise.

You have way points and choice of commanders and reaction / retirment order stuff... use it

Use recon - if you move into areas you do not know - on your head be it.

2 day turns is for me now and not going back.

Be more circumspect with your moves, a bit less "Do not Retreat"

Plan your TF orders to arrive when you want them, day 1 for invasions to get some time before reaction.

IMHO it makes for a more nail biting game, and thats only trashing the AI. A PBEM could get really exciting.

PS   Why all the crap about spelling errors, he's a yanqui isnt he???

It's not terrifying in practice. It's also nice to get through the first few months of the game for a change. Planning is more important.

Actually the disadvantage that you fear also affects your opponent in PBEM.  So it really makes for some fun, interesting, and funny situations on both sides.  Also games run quicker.

It is actually more terrifying to play against the AI since he can react while you cannot.  But of course it addes to the challenge and this the only way I play vs AI.  PBEM depends on my opponent.

I talked him into it, something new for us. We have played several full games ove rthe last few years. 2 days makes you approach the game a little different and if you have not done it much bring s new diminsion to the game.

Here's the trick. Don't encounter any enemy forces until the second day of the turn.
