I have a medium space port but want to upgrade it to a large space port. How's it done as I can see no way other than scraping it and building a new one.

Should be a simple case of selecting the spaceport and clicking the upgrade button (in the bottom right). Or you can right click and select it from the menu. Make sure you've got a large spaceport design in your existing designs screen and make sure that it's not too large a size. If you're using early construction tech, you can't build ships or spaceports that are above your current technology limit.

Can't think of anything else at the mo.

The only other thing to add is that at planets you can have bases of any size, irrespective of the construction tech level.

Thanks. As I have now found out the term is retrofiting when increasing the size of the spaceport but the option is only available by right clicking.

That's great, Chris. I was half asleep when I posted that! Buttons in the bottom right for upgrades? What planet am I on?
