I have been having a game crash at the end of the turn where the game normally auto-saves. (I believe this is the very last step in the turn) I get a crash to desktop.

I have over 6 months into this scenario, and am in Dec. 1945, poised to invade Japan proper........this is very frustating (an understatement) I have tried to go back a couple of saves and regardless of what I change I get the crash.

Any suggestions?

Try naming directories SOUND and VIDEO to NO_SOUND and NO_VIDEO for example, this helps if crash is sound card related etc. OF course you won't have sound or starting videos, but you'll at least know why it crashes (e.g. incompatible sound card drivers etc.)

There has been fixes to a couple of CTD in the beta patches. One common one being drawing the map towards end of the turn.

I was getting some CTDs on my super-duper new power PC. They went away when I added the -dd_sw switch to the shortcut.
