When I use Axis ground support the aircraft losses quickly mount up mostly from AA. I have lately started going to 0 ground support for most of my attacks and then putting it back on for the Soviet turn. What do you think is the best way to use ground support? Should I keep using it and not worry about the aircraft losses?
Thanks.

Part of the issue for having it on when the Soviet goes is if they figure out you have heavy ground support going, they just make several very small attacks that don't matter just to burn up your air force before launching the attacks that really matter, so I don't know that I like having air support on during an opponents turn.

I would do what you have sort of been doing. Keep it off except for the battles you think you need it for, then turn it off again. If you don't need it for a turn, then so much the better to rest your guys and let the mechanics work.
