Does anyone have the parameters of the monsoon season - meaning what are the range of dates, AND what AE map area boundaries are effected? (Looked up "monsoon" in the manual but came up blank).

Thanks

Monsoon only effects whatever task force Halsey is in command of, other admirals were smarter then that. Honestly dont know this one?

Here are my notes -- copied from thread discussions:

Monsoon Effects (May 15 – Oct 15)

Actually, the initial notes on the monsoon season was off. Its confirmed by Andy not being Jan-April, but from 15th of May to the 15th of Oct.

Monsoon affects base supply in Burma region. It does not affect weather in the game.

The main bases affected are the north Burmese ones north of Mandalay and the Assam bases east of Terapo plus Akyab and Chittagong.

The way the new restriction works is that the amount of supply a base can receive per day is X x (Port+AF+Fort) so a base that is a trail base with no main road or rail connection may have a value of 50 say it starts as port 0, af 0, fort 3 then that means the base can receive 50 x 3 or 150 tonnes of supply per day over the jungle trails.

During the monsoon season all bases are reduced to 50% of normal capacity therefore the base will only receive 75 tons per day by land.

Thus the little un-built up bases cannot sustain huge forces

There is no specific area affected by the Monsoon, rather a set of bases is affected. To find out which one you would have to look in the editor I think. A list of these bases was under construction in the AE Wiki, but it is down at the moment, so no good list is available at the moment. I can tell you that it isn't only limited to Burma/India border region. I'm quite sure I came across some bases in Thailand as well.

Hi Misconduct,

Methinks you're thinking of Typhoon and not Monsoon....

Blackhorse,

Thanks. I guess that is why I was so stymied at Cox's Bazar - the limit was originally showing as 20!! (playing as Allies) I have built it up some now and it has helped with keeping my boys in beans and hardtack.

I wasn't sure whether it were only a part or all of them, so I erred on the side of caution, thanks for giving the correct info.
