Wow, those results are very revealing. German wins only count 10% of the time through Nov 41, so your net losses are more than your net wins for promotions/dismissals (at least for promotions I know that's true). In my last AI vs AI test at 110/100 where the Germans were advancing more or less historically, their AG leaders only have 18, 27, and 31 losses, and they have 226, 516, and 424 wins (from North to South). If the German dismissals were tough for the AI, I can only imagine what they'll be when playing against a human player. Things could get grim when you hit the winter, but then didn't Hitler fire a bunch of guys in December? Hopefully the adjustments we made this morning will help some.

The AI is probably making more "perfect" deliberate attacks whereas I am making a lot more borderline hasty attacks . I think I will mix in more deliberate attacks in the future. Also Trey decided to be more aggressive from about Turn 8 onwards, and probably is putting in more attacks than the AI in 1941.

I was expecting that the Blizzard would put the Army and AG commanders in the frame for firing. I think 20-30 generals were dismissed during the first winter.

I evacuated all but Leningrad. I didn't expect Leningrad to fall so easily. Since Turn 8, I have been averaging about 4-6 German retreats per turn in counterattacks especially around Moscow and east of Kiev.

Andy, factory can grow up to build limit if it is not set to 0. Ex. Hi, Fuel, Armaments, Vehicles don't grow because BL is set to 0, but aircraft and afv should grow, i.e. rebuild back. Keep in mind the more you move the faster you get it back.

Pav, Andy asked can they build a new KV factory if they don't move it in time. I guess not, so their screwed if they don't...Seems theres a problem here if thats the case.

Jon..Pav got it right, I was asking if the factories can build back up once moved. Like how it worked before if you only moved a few of a particular type factory, they would in time rebuild up to a maximum amount at their destination while those left behind were destroyed.

Now that you can move factories piecemeal, a few each turn, I'm just wondering if each segment that can be moved will build up to some prescribed max amount. If they do, it can get gamey if someone were to move a few to different locations with each droup building up more than they could have if they had all been transported at the same time to the same place.

Knowing that some types don't rebuild makes it important to get them all out.

The ones that don't rebuild can be moved piecemeal. The ones that build up to the build limit must be moved all at once, with any part left behind destroyed. The key is, for aircraft and AFV factories, you have to get at least one point evacuated or you'll lose the potential to build back to the build limit. But you have to move them all at once, so there are two decisions to make (when to move them and how much to move when you do, but if you know you are going to lose the city, be sure to get at least 1 point out before it's too late).

T17. last turn of Clear weather (much to Trey's relief!). The new combat routines for Heavy woods kick in, and make the Soviets MUCH tougher - look at the combat value multiplier on this baby:
