Trolls try to get people fighting with one another.  Knavey is more of a trickster, ultimately getting a lot of us to take the game a bit less seriously.  Some players point out bugs in the game and complain about them vociferously.  Knavey points out bugs in reality.

Another casualty... Knavey is worse than Malaria: you'd think everyone knows about him by now, and suddenly, he strikes again!

Most of the problems I've encountered in WITP can be traced to a loose nut behind the keyboard.

I love the posts Knavey!  Keep them up and me in stitches.

Even the name "Knavey" is a clever pun. Anybody noticed?

Well, it's a pun anyway.

Woah!

Sure glad I posted this on a SATURDAY morning when everyone was bright and cheerful instead of a MONDAY morning when everyone is grumpy!

I love it when someone figures it out early, then wonders if they are spoiling something...and then people just keep walking in!

Thanks for playing this time! Hopefully with all the explanations from my "support" group (and no, not the jocks of the board!) everyone is a bit more educated about some of the finer BORKED moments in reality! I can't take complete credit for that one...someone sent me a PM with a request for this one. I had run across this one before but hadn't considered using it until Matrix released the WitP AE - WPO scenario. Oh wait...didn't get anyone with that one.

If it wasn't such a tragic event, it would almost be comical! Like something you see on a Saturday morning cartoon with everyone piling into the back of the guy in front of them. Some of the sites listed in the posts above have some pictures on them. Worth the surf time.

And so, another episode of BORKED comes to an end. Thanks for surfing with me, and remember, Reality is sometimes stranger than the fiction we call WitP - AE.

And yes...I have had that moniker since I was in Uncle Sams Yacht Club. I had to change the spelling then because I wasn't a lifer.

Wore it stenciled on the inside of my hat...got in trouble with a few CPOs but most just winked and nodded.

Knavey, these are some of my favorite posts on the forum. Keep 'em coming!

I also appreciate that on the vast majority of these posts that Tom Label always claims that "The same thing happened to me...I swear!" Cracks me up every time.

A friend of mine who was in Attack Subs, who was a Lt JG at the time, told me once his sub ran into a super tanker in the Med, which they saw several miles away, but the XO and Ops officer were arguing about what to do and neither wanted to wake the Captain up to make a decision. After the Navy investigated they found the crew needed more training and the two Officers were never found at fault of anything. He says this is one reason he is getting out the Navy this summer.

Well,

I hated every day I was in, but loved every minute. Some of you will know what I mean. Wouldn't trade the time in for anything looking back at it now. It was a great experience when you look back at it with 20 years of 20/20 vision (and no, I only did 6, not 20 as some of our more dedicated guys on this forum who my hat is off to for serving.

Whip, my wife bought me a bio on Rickover...haven't had a chance to read it, but I have skimmed a couple of chapters. Supposed to be pretty balanced view of his career.
