Somehow after one or perhaps two armor research upgrades, the branch stopped? I also still have the issue that the AI doesnt use any armor in all of its designs. Two bugs?

Is there a�saboteur mission that�does that? How long has the researched been stopped?

But, considering that your AI( is it your empire's AI or the opponents' AI) doesn't use armor it's likely a bug/error.

Its not a bug, as far as I've seen. The armor techs don't go very far... in fact the whole tech tree is pretty small.

I ran out of techs in like 4-5 hours of gameplay, and Armor is especially short

Ok, perhaps armor is not so important in this game as I thought, since the AI does not use it in its ship designs and the tech tree is short in this regard.
