Impressed that the AI brought to bear 10 Regiments, 5 divisions, and 3 armoured regiments to take it down in a mere 4 days of combat, all shock attacks. I scuttled back with delay forces and held out well but was hoping for a few weeks of attacks with 40k+ of supply. Once I saw the force I evacuated the last aircraft just before the fall. Now all those units to be sent elsewhere...ARGH.

AI does rock much better than WITP

Did you make your stand in Singapore itself? If so did you make sure all your units were prepped for the hex? Did you put low moral units on rest prior to the IJ force investing the city?

Singapore is a river type hex in that crossing causes a shock attack, I discovered this when I moved some reinforcements from singapore to the base hex just north of it, JB I think. At any rate my units shock attacked the IJ forces in that hex which I was also defending. Wasnt a pretty sight.

Yes pulled back and started prepping from day one except for a few small Bn to make the AI fight along the way. Straight back to Sing and had lvl 3 forts 45% to 4 when attacked. I am not sure I like you getting reset to 0 on forts after it took so long to get to that 45% afterall.

Maybe the first set of engineer fort reductions should check if it is over 30% then reset to 0 else reduce fort by one.

I dont think that would have made but one days difference here. Did you see their forces? Admit it is scenario 2

If i remember correctly, its the progress the engineers made on the next level that is reset to 0 not the whole fort.

Nope, if fort is reduced then progress is reset to zero.
