The formula for the cost in the UK is, as always:

Cost in USA multiplied by the difference in exchange rate for Sterling against Dollar which is currently .6578

So if it was $50 it would be £32.94...... but we forgot the MMURO (merchant mark up ripoff) which needs to be added on again which is another .3422....

So it can be expressed as (CUSA * ExchRt) + (CUSA * MMURO) then add on the VAT so we end up with around £60 which just goes to show how we really need to not worry too much about it anyway.

Not that I believe in this urban myth of rip off Britain...... oh no!

Roger

This is not a political statement so don't go off on me guys.

Don't feel to bad about the way the UK can get it's paws into your pockets because it's the same all over the world.  The only differences are how the governments go about it.

Given the recent development of your currency you'll probably have to pay in Sandwiches. Or maybe there are some really weird guys at Matrix who would accept Porridge.

Sort of like over-valuing your property on top of hiking the property tax rate. Welcome to my world.

I lurk in here now and then to see how things are coming along. I was seconds away from making my own thread to ask the same question.

Now that it appears testing is nearing an end I was wanting to know the price as well. Only difference being I'm a US customer.

I suspect a making-of video would increase the price heavily, given that the development team is quite literally global.

While I'm sure some people might find reading our development side forum traffic, I don't think the making of process would translate very well into a video.

How about a making of book? 1000 Days on the Line

It's all perspective - it must have been a close-up shot. It is stunning that the little guy shaves, though.

So why no serious reply to this? No one has decided how much to charge for this yet? Come on...

I need to know how many pennies to hide from the wife so I can buy this when it comes out! Not all of us have money laying about to be used on a whim. Some of us have to save money in advance...

We're not ready to post the final price yet, but I can tell you that it will be less than WITP, but not a lot less.

Erik, my bet is still on 50$... IMHO that is fair price and it should also be OK (and rightfully so ) for Matrix!

For the value of a game like WitP and/or AE, the return outweighs the cost by 1000 to 1. They could ask over a $100 for AE and I would not think twice about it . . .

. . . though I am sure the wife would have something to say

No doubt here either. Considering the prices we pay for other forms of entertainment the amount Matrix will ask us for Admirals Edition is small .

Would I be a little too optimistic if I put this on my Father's day(June21st) gift wish list?

Well, that picture gives you some options. You might change your handle to "Thumberminus," if that is one of those self portraits of a bad camera shot. Or possibly "OldCootimus" if someone snuck up from behind you. Or Even, "Trantor" - since you're in the center of the WitPAE AI O Galaxy, though that reference may be a little obscure. But that would mean you would lose 28,613, at last count, bragging points.

As far as the price goes, my wife has already been making smoke signals and I have been making cavalry patrols into hostile territory. She might go on the warpath if She thinks it costs more than trips to four dog shows and many stops at the kitchen sink are worth. Easy on the wampum, folks.
