Here a question for you software gurus out there.

what is a good program (better than winzip) to zip up assorted folders and files from different locations, but capable unzipping them exactly in the location they came from on someone elses computer without individually plunking folders and files in different locations.

A better suited program than winzip lets say for distributing Mods files for games is what I am after.

I use ZipGenius a freeware. I has your options both in zipping and extracting. Handles opening rar and other types as well.

EDIT I don't know how a program could read your mind and after you navigate to various places on your computer then unload those files into someone elses computer in the same places.

Uh, yes If they have the same game it would load the files in the same place. I know game Mod zip programs exist I just can't think of where to look for one.

I use JSGME to swap mods.
I make a mod. It is a bmp and a xml file. They are temp stored in D:/mods/graphics and D:/mods/data
The bmp goes in a graphics folder. The xml goes in a data folder.
I make a new zip named A_Mod and add files to it telling ZG to use folder info. I navigate to D:/mods and add the folders graphics and data. I also add a text file instructing the end user to extract the folders into the MODS folder that JSGME has created inside the game folder. Then run JSGME to install. JSGME will take the files and place them in the correct folders for you.
C:/game/graphics
C:/game/data

Upon further thought, I think there is an option for saving paths in ZG that should, if done correctly, unzip the files into the correct game folders. Providing you intend to overwrite the originals without a backup.
