I have used PayPal quite often for purchases but something occurred yesterday that made me wary. I was using PayPal at a music download site where I have a history of purchases. However when I clicked on the PayPal button, I was directed to a PayPal site that was written with Chinese characters. I cancelled the purchase and emailed the web store as to what happened.

Is it possible that this music store's PayPal link has been hijacked?

Just curious if anyone else ever experienced this.

I predict in the near future you will get an e-mail purporting to be from Paypal, and it will say your membership is running out and you MUST respond to "verify" your account information.

This is a well known phishing scam..

Delete it and do not go to the link it will provide.
If you do, it will download crap onto your computer and will still try to fool you into revealing your personal info.

Kinda like the fortune teller that "knows all...sees all", but has to ask you for your name..

BTW...the "Psychic Network" several years ago filed bankruptcy due to "unforeseen circumstances"..

ROFL!

Do you know why a medium is called a medium? Because it´s neither rare nor well done...

One guy in another forum I post in used to have the sig line: "Psychic help wanted. Qualified candidates know where to apply."

On a more serious note... Last time I bought something from Gamersgate, I was redirected to a PayPal page in some Scandinavian language - but since IIRC gamersgate is part of a Swedish company, I simply assumed that something was wrong with the programming on their site.
