I bought WWII R2V last night and wanted to install it at work (for lunchtimes only!)

When I go to Findmyorder.com, I am asked to enter

  • my order number and password
  • my email address and last 5 digits of card used

Because I'm not at home, I don't have my order number so I used the second option. However, I paid by Paypal (not card). I did put the last 5 digits of my card number in that is registered with Paypal, but it didn't find my order (it found some others bought with this card from days gone by, but not this order.

Is there any way I can get my order number resent? And what happens in the future if I don't have my order number and I used paypal for my purchase...? Digital River ought to allow Paypal to be used as the method of payment when finding your order if it's being allowed as such.

Anyway, any help would be appreciated...I'd like to play the game lunchtime (I can't ask my wife to go onto my email system at home and forward it on to me....don't be silly!!!)

What's stopping you from putting the installer on a USB stick and simply installing it at work instead of re-downloading it ?

Greetz,

I'm too busy keeping the streets clean to worry about accessing emails remotely.

No, unfortunately, I use Yahoo email and when I download it to my outlook client (I know!!), it removes it from the server. I know I can have Yahoo keep my emails, but it causes problems with my laptop (wanting to download emails I've already downloaded even though they were downloaded onto my PC and my laptop is using the same outlook pst file...I don't know why)...it became a real pain, so I switched off keeping emails on the server.

I should've thought clearer yesterday, but I didn't. Itw as late and Iw as thinking about playing then, not in 12 hours

Ha ! - I "intercepted" this month's Visa bill because it contained no less than 5 wargame-related items - not that she terribly minds or that I'm a compulsive buyer, but better safe than sorry as I've got 3 items lined up for this month too

Damn' those developers and their tendency to release all the good stuff in the same month.

I've been trying to buy Supreme Ruler 2020 at GamersGate last weekend (was 50% off), but the system didn't accept my card for around seven
times. (and of course I didn't ask my wife for her card).
I've written an email to support and gues what - got the game for free :)

No, just pure luck I was home before her that day - hadn't even realized there would be 5 wargame-related things on it before I saw the list. There's almost always 1 or 2 items, but 5 is my all-time record for one month

The secret of a good marriage is to keep *those* things secret

You know what Matrix should have ?

A "Buy a gift token" program where wargame wives could buy a voucher their hubbies could spend on any game they'd like. My wife always has a tough time buying me a present as all the stuff I *really* want is alien to her, so I have to drop hints and pretend I didn't notice she was fishing for info and she does buy me the occasional wargame (bless her) but she's allways stressed-out about it because she's unsure that's the one I really want.

So, please Matrix, a big red button on the website saying "wargame widows : press this button" would *really* be appreciated

New game announced : Invasion of the Emoticons

Well, for once that an idea of mine is not so dumb as it sounded I'm mighty pleased that it's on the Matrix wish-list. Ok, statistically I've got 30 years to go so Matrix can still get a lot of money from the misses

Greetz,

Been reading up on you guys, and boy, you got my sympathy. As for myself, I got an ace up my sleeve...I work th night shift, which allows me to intercept not only my own orders. ( mercifully few at the moment) but also the Mrs. orders...( she's into modern day authors) So any complains, and I activate Operation Disappeario ( heh heh heh) Needless to say, no questions asked from her part.

Oh, god. It works both ways.

That, or you turned into a woman shortly after you were married.

Erik

Set up a wish list and allow users to email that wish list to others and/or allow others to view someones wish list by entering the users email address, name, etc.
