I've created a six player "naval game" (75% water) on a 80x50 map with 200% research and 65 towns. I ran three maps for experimental purposes to see what they would look like. Based on that I can say that probably two players may get lousy start islands and one or two players may get town rich ones. Such is the luck of the draw. If this sounds like fun to you, sign up to play.

Game Details:
Land: 25%
65 Towns not including start cities
56 points needed for victory
size-level of towns: 2
30% of land forest
25% of land mountain
river level: 6
For of war, shroud, passwords, anti-pbem cheat, anti-supply
Research: double normal

Given that invasions are not easy to pull off quickly or easily, every player should have a good chance to stay in the game awhile. As in all of these type games, eventually alliances are going to be critical for ultimate success. Obviously, domination of the naval game is a must, though paratroops may play part also.

Post here that you wish to play and PM me with an email address and Time Zone/GMT.

I only got five players interested so map details changed a little. I have ordered the turns based on timezone.  I hope this helps with the turnaround times. Everyone will likely not get a great starting location. That is the luck of the draw.
Turn Order:
1:  Anarchic Society -- Marc (EST)
2:  Twilight Empire -- Phil (EST)
3:  Holy Marines -- Roy (EST)
4:  Twisted Empire-- Allen (CST)
5:  Muslin Core -- Jeffrey H. (PST)

Map Details (Fog, anti-cheat, anti-supply, shroud, etc):
Map Loop in effect
80x50
65 towns not counting starting capitals
56 Victory Points needed to win
70% water
30% forest
25% mountain
rivers = 5
swamps = 3
research level = 200%
